Strategic Planning Developing the Vision to Secure Our Future
In October 2017, Mercy High School embarked on a Strategic Planning process to help articulate a vision and action plan for our school for the next five years. With an overwhelmingly positive response, a 40-member volunteer committee was selected to represent our community. Students, alumnae, faculty, parents, administrators, and Board members have been examining, brainstorming, debating, and synthesizing the critical components of the Mercy program to develop a strategic plan for continued success.
The Center for Strategic Facilitation was engaged to guide the process and expedite development of a collaborative, action-oriented plan. We would like to thank the team members who have volunteered their time and energy to the process.
We are now at the point of opening the discussion of the strategic vision to the larger community, and we look forward to more participation! As this issue of The Oaks goes to print, we are holding four Community Input Meetings for faculty and staff, students, alumnae, Mercy Sisters and community members, and the Board of Directors. It is a truly exciting opportunity to gather together so many people who care deeply about our school, and who want to work towards positive progress.

Focus Question: How, in the next 5 years, can we thrive as a school with strong academic excellence and living our mission?
AIMS OF THE STRATEGIC PLANNING TEAM: Create a forward thinking, comprehensive 5-Year Strategic Plan that incorporates our values and mission with a strong academic platform. Engage the Mercy High School community in creating The Plan and committing to its implementation.
