Graduation Ball

The Mercedes College Graduation Ball celebrates the culmination of effort applied over many years of learning. Our graduates are a product of years of work, guidance and support and for this reason, Mercedes College hosts an end of year graduation event which is as inclusive as it is magnificent. The celebration of achievement is shared with the families, special guests and key teachers, honouring the contribution and effort of many.

On the evening of the last day of exams, our Year 12s arrived at the stunning reception held at the Adelaide Convention Centre as students, arm in arm with their families. They left as the young adults of tomorrow, embarking on their pathways and exciting journeys yet to unfold beyond our College gates. The beautiful event, including a three-course dinner and traditional student parent dance, is a hallmark of celebration for our graduating cohort. As the Year 12 Year Level Coordinator, I am truly honoured to host this event. Thank you to our wonderful Mercedes College families and students for making the 2021 Graduation Ball a night to remember. “To the Graduating students – I want to congratulate each and every one of you for the contributions you have made to the College, the impact you’ve had on the Mercedes community and perhaps most importantly as we close this academic chapter; your undeniable achievements. I have witnessed first-hand your dedication.

I have seen you through your challenges and I have watched you all strive without hesitation in the pursuit of your goals. My work with you all has not just been a job, it’s been a privilege. Over three years of leading you as a cohort as your Year Level Coordinator, you have continued to remind me of the incredible capacity of the human spirit and that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. You have demonstrated that success relies on community, empathy and perseverance.”
