Mercy Week is a time of reflection, when we focus on the values synonymous with Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, our Mercedes College founders.

Through student-led activities across the week, our community supported one another to raise funds for national charity Mercy Works, and the week concluded with a reverent Mercy Day Mass at St Francis Xavier Cathedral.
The coming holiday period marks many important events across a range of religions, the heart of which all offer time for reflection and opportunities to connect or reconnect with family, and encourage kindness and compassion towards all. ’’

Helen is the South Australian Commissioner for Children and Young People, and a Mercedes College Old Scholar, who embodies the values of the Mercy Keys to support, collaborate with, and advocate for young South Australians.
John Fanning Justice Award
Congratulations Charlotte Sorell
Charlotte, a 2022 Graduate, embodies the legacy of the late John Fanning, namely being fair, firm, kind, honest, and compassionate. She leads with, and demonstrates, the representation, action, and promotion of true lived experiences of our Mercy Keys, selflessly looking out for peers and offering a helping hand.
