CHAFARIZ D’EL REI Historical and exclusive The Palace Chafariz D’el Rei, built in the 17th century, breathes history in all its architectural features, as well as in the decorative elements. Today it is transformed into a comfortable Home Boutique Hotel - as illustrious as it is magnificent but with a singular richness that practically goes unnoticed in the heart of the old Moorish city.

Despite being an emblematic building, and even of a peculiar style, the truth is that whoever passes it on the street, does not imagine all the splendor that is reflected inside. Classified as a Monument of Municipal Interest, Palace Chafariz d'el Rei is an eclectic neo-Moorish building from the end of the 19th century with “Art Nouveau” interiors, very popular at the turn of the century.

When we enter, we contemplate a long corridor and imposing windows that support magnificent stained-glass windows of intense colors, which lead us to the 18th century, as well as 17th century tiles that date back to the Pombaline reconstruction.

Currently, it presents itself as a Home Boutique Hotel concept, where the guest is treated as a member of the house while oering the most exquisite services. Despite this familiar and welcoming atmosphere, as if we were in our home, is maintained simultaneously all the exclusivity and refinement of a palace with unobstructed and privileged views of the Tagus and the magnificent city of Lisbon.

THE LUXURIOUS SUITES In the Palace Chafariz D'el Rei there are six very distinct suites, arranged over two floors and with three categories: Junior Suite, Deluxe River Suite and Luxury River Suite, all with dierent characteristics in the decoration and light games, and at the same time oering stunning and exclusive views of the Tagus River or the famous alleys of Alfama.

We feel a welcoming atmosphere and a relaxing feeling, with all the refinement and elegance of a noble house from the 17th century that oozes luxury and good taste. But there is another luxury that is also included in the stay, the luxury of dreaming, of experiencing in first hand the sweet pleasures of life, watching the boats pass calmly on the river, the shadow of the clouds and the company of the bridge that accompanies the murmur from the waters of the river, and all of this from our window... Because although this is our usual city, we find a new passion in the alleys where we pass.

The Junior Suites are spacious and open to the alleys of Alfama and idealized for city lovers who value so the characteristic medieval architecture.

The luxurious and spacious Deluxe River Suites oer us exclusive views of the Tagus, as well as with all the surroundings that transport us to the bourgeois life of the 17th century.

In turn, the Luxury River Suites, which house three floors, are open to the stunning landscape of the Tagus River and contemplate the symbiosis between classic and modern, conveying a sense of elegance and timeless luxury. On the top floor of this suite we have at our disposal a room equipped with a telescope where we can delight in the exclusive 360° views and a superb and unique view of the city!

ROYAL BRUNCH AT THE PALACE TEA HOUSE The Palace Tea House is a stunning room that accompanies the luxury and elegance of the Chafariz. A space with classic a n d r e f i n e d d e co r a t i o n , a n intimate atmosphere and gastronomy of reference.

We tryed the famous Royal Brunch at the Palace, one of the hotel's ex-libris, and an authentic time travel that stayed in our memory, surrounded by all the nostalgia of the high nobility.

The gastronomic delicacies came to us, carefully selected, served with refinement and with great diversity: bread, cheese, sausages, pastries, cakes, croissants, scrambled eggs, tea, natural juices, fruit salad, yogurt with granola or even duck rice.

If the sun peeks, on mild spring days or on the grayest of autumn days, Brunch can be served outside on the magnificent balcony of the Palace, which also serves as a stage for a pleasant five o’clock tea or afternoons of conviviality among lively city lovers who find here the privilege to enjoy a breathtaking view and a unique experience.
