Your Pre-Requisites For Drupa The much awaited show, drupa 2012 is here. The most popped up question these days would be; what are you plans for drupa this year? If you have not thought of them yet, it is time to review your areas of interest at the print event. Here are some important tips that you might want to look into before venturing into the wide and vast world of drupa in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Before embarking on the voyage to Germany, make sure that you have grabbed a copy of the floor plan or if you are a smart phone user, download the user friendly app from the Messe Düsseldorf site.

Avoid standing at the queues, pre-register your visit at www.drupa.com and earn tickets at discounted rates.

Plan, schedule and allocate your time at drupa well ahead. Decide in advance the maximum time you would be spending at your areas of interest and allocate the remaining time qualitatively.

It’s a maze of companies out there. So, keep in mind your business requirements and strategies before targeting your key customers.

A bulleted list always makes the day easy. Prepare a list of key suppliers and new customers that you would like to pay a visit and tick it off as and when done.

Don’t forget these essentials. A notebook, pen, staplers to fix business cards to product catalogues.

After 14 days, it is often hard to recollect all the faces from the crowd.

As inevitable as it has turned out, your smart phone could lessen up your luggage. Scan business cards, QR codes of products and ensure that you have everything at your finger tips.

Track The History of Printing at Leipzig Museum of Printing Arts

Visitors can witness the silk route of printing industry plus the TDC show at Hall No.6 Leipzig Museum of Printing Arts in Leipzig, located 387 kilometers south west of D端sseldorf will be showcasing the history and growth of the printing industry at drupa 2012. Exhibiting in hall 6, stand C30, the museum will present a cross-section of its valued collection that includes historical printing machines, equipment and exclusive print products. Major attractions at the event would be a KBA restored letterpress printing machine that dates back to 1900 and a Linotype line composing and casting machine from 1965. Live demonstrations from these machines will show the prepress and printing processes in that era. Visitors can also experience printing by trying their hand on some hand presses, while at the stand. An artist will be showing gravure printing techniques that will show original graphic art with the help of an 1850 era gravure press.

The Leipzig Museum of Printing Arts was established by the Giesecke & Devrient Foundation in the year 2000. The foundation is also sponsored by the State of Saxony, the city of Leipzig as well as the graphic industry in Germany.

The museum preserves the printing heritage and offers an insight into the manual and industrial production of various printed products. The 100 year old building that houses the museum also includes a workshop that offers visitors a hands-on experience on the 550 years of printing history.

As in any museum that glorifies the reminds of the past, the Leipzig museum displays around 100 working machines and presses under three important categories namely, letterpress, intaglio and flatbed. The expert staffs at the museum explain the working methods of the machine and also assist visitors in setting their own lines of text in lead type and printing them out.

Tickets for the whole creative weekend are available for 199.00 euros at the drupa 2012 ticket shop (www.drupa. de/2130). The award ceremony will take place in Stand B06, hall no.6 at the coming drupa.

An Egyptian Printing day will be held this Drupa on Monday 7, 2012 at 12 pm at the main exhibition hall in D端sseldorf, Germany.

The Egyptian day will be held in partnership with PETRA Egypt, the Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries & the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Egypt. D端sseldorf Trade Centre will organise this day and it will be attended by the Egyptian Ambassador in Germany and Bernhard Schreier, President of drupa.

The gathering will include members from the printing & packaging industry in Egypt, owners of printing presses and publishing houses and representatives from the five exhibitor companies from Egypt this time.

The Egyptian Ambassador in Germany and Bernhard Schreier will address the event. Together with them will be present the President of the Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries in Egypt, Director of the German Arab Chamber and the Deputy Dean of the Applied Arts College in Helwan University, Egypt. The event will enable the Egyptian delegation to learn more about the latest printing techniques, products and regulations in the industry.

The Egyptian day will be attended by students from the department of Printing, publishing and packaging from the Applied Arts College of Helwan University and the winners of the Youssef Allam Design competition that was held in Egypt. More than 1000 people from Egypt are expected to attend drupa this edition.

Innovations Galore at Drupa Innovation Park Once again the drupa innovation park (DIP) will focus on driving innovations in digital media production. The innovation park offers a platform for young companies and industrial giants to showcase trend-setting ideas and innovations. The drupa innovation park that is presented by digi:media will be located near drupa cube in hall no. 7.0.

Dip will present nine theme parks this year, all located in one hall. Exhibitors, sponsors and dip partners can present their latest innovations on the two stages, which is freely accessible to all visitors of drupa. Lectures, panel discussions and moderated reports will form major portion of the various dip theme parks. Everyday at dip, the attendees will be briefed about the innovations of various exhibitors and the daily schedule of what’s happening in dip. During the afternoon sessions the dip Energy lounge will become a platform for interviews on technological innovations. Various exhibitors from each of the nine dip theme areas will be answering questions of presenters and visitors.

Catch the Action at drupa with Highlight Tours The ten highlight tours will give visitors solutions in a nutshell Drupa will be presenting ten Highlight Tours that will cover the latest developments in the printing industry.

The participants will be taken in small groups to visit six to eight selected exhibitors and view their solutions right from production control and web-to-print through offset and digital printing right up to packaging production and finishing. ‫من المقرر أن يشهد معرض دروبا الدولي هذا العام فعاليات اليوم المصري “يوم‬ ‫الطباعة المصرية” يوم اإلثنين الموافق ‪ ٧‬مايو ‪ ٢٠١٢‬في تمام الساعة الـ‪ ١٢‬ظهرا‪،‬‬ ‫وذلك في المبنى الرئيسي للمعرض بمدينة دوسلدورف‪.‬‬ ‫وستقوم شراكة الطباعة واإلعالن «بيترا» باالشتراك مع غرفة صناعات الطباعة‬ ‫والتغليف المصرية والغرفة األلمانية العربية للصناعة والتجارة وهيئة معارض‬ ‫دوسلدورف بتنظيم هذا اليوم‪ ،‬وسيحضره كل من السفير المصري في ألمانيا‬ ‫ورئيس معرض دروبا بيرنهارد‬ ‫شراير كضيوف الشرف‪ ،‬إلى جانب‬ ‫لفيف من رجال صناعات الطباعة‬ ‫والتغليف المصرية‪ ،‬وأصحاب‬ ‫المطابع ودور النشر والتصميم‬ ‫والتجهيزات الطباعية‪ ،‬والشركات‬ ‫المصرية الخمس العارضة في‬ ‫دروبا‪.‬‬ ‫ويشمل برنامج االحتفال كلمة‬ ‫للمتحدثين يلقيها كل من سعادة‬ ‫السفير ورئيس المعرض‪ ،‬ورئيس غرفة صناعات الطباعة والتغليف المصرية‪،‬‬ ‫والمدير التنفيذي للشراكة ومديرة الغرفة األلمانية‪ ،‬ووكيل كلية الفنون التطبيقية‪،‬‬ ‫للترحيب بالسادة الضيوف والتعريف بأهمية المعرض وفعالياته‪ ،‬والبرنامج الخاص‬ ‫على أحدث األنظمة والتقنيات والمنتجات الطباعية‪.‬‬ ‫كما سيحضر االحتفال أيضا طالب وطالبات من قسم الطباعة والنشر والتغليف‬

‫بالوفد المصري لزيارات أهم الشركات الرائدة في المجال داخل المعرض وللتعرف‬

‫تتبع تاريخ الطباعة في متحف اليبزغ للطباعة‬ ‫مستعرضا تاريخ ونمو صناعة الطباعة‪ ،‬يشارك معرض اليبزغ لفنون الطباعة في ألمانيا ضمن‬ ‫فعاليات معرض دروبا ‪ 2012‬هذا العام‪ ،‬وذلك في القاعة رقم ‪ 6‬منصة عرض رقم سي‪،30‬‬ ‫وسيقدم المتحف قطاعا عريضا من مجموعته التي تضمن ماكينات طباعة تاريخية ومعدات‬ ‫ومنتجات طباعية حصرية لديه‪ ،‬أما عامل الجذب المهم في الحدث هو ما تنوي شركة كيه‬ ‫بي إيه القيام به من خالل عرض لماكينة طباعة األحرف األثرية التي يعود تاريخها إلى‬ ‫العام‪ 1900،‬وماكينات الطباعة الالينوتايب لصف الحروف من العام ‪ ،1965‬كما ستقدم عروضا‬ ‫حية وتطبيقات عملية على آلية عمل هذه اآلالت في مجال عمليات ما قبل وخالل الطباعة‬ ‫في هذه الحقبة من الزمن‪ ،‬ويمكن للزوار كذلك خوض تجربة الطباعة على هذه اآلالت‪،‬‬ ‫بينما سيعرض فنان متواجد ضمن منصة العرض إمكانية الطباعة بالحفر والتي ستظهر فن‬ ‫الرسم األصلي بمساعدة آلة طباعة الحفر في العام ‪.1850‬‬ ‫تأس���س متحف اليبزغ لفنون الطباعة من قبل مؤسس���ة جيس���يك آند ديفرينت في العام‬ ‫‪ ،2000‬وهو يحظى كذلك برعاية والية سكس���ونيا ومدينة اليبزغ وكذلك صناعة الطباعة‬ ‫ف���ي ألمانيا‪ ،‬ويحافظ المتحف على تراث الطباعة‪ ،‬كما يق���دم نظرة مقربة على اإلنتاج اليدوي‬ ‫والصناع���ي من مختل���ف المنتجات المطبوعة‪ ،‬فيما يتضمن المتحف ال���ذي يحتضن���ه مبن���ى‬ ‫أثري يبلغ عمره ‪ 100‬عام ورش���ة عمل تقدم للزوار تجربة للتدريب العملي على ‪ 550‬س���نة‬ ‫من تاريخ الطباعة‪.‬‬ ‫كما هو الحال في أي متحف يمجد ذكرى الماضي‪ ،‬يعرض متحف اليبزغ نحو ‪ 100‬ماكينة‬ ‫طباعة عاملة تحت ثالث فئات مهمة وهي طابعات الرص باألحرف والطباعة بالنقش‬ ‫والطباعة المسطحة‪ ،‬فيما يقوم موظفي المتحف الخبراء بشرح أساليب هذه اآلالت كذلك‪،‬‬ ‫ومساعدة الزوار في وضع الخطوط الخاصة بهم وطباعتها‪.‬‬ ‫ولردم الهوة بين الطباعة القديمة التقليدية وتقنيات الطباعة الحالية‪ ،‬يقيم المعرض ثالثة‬ ‫معارض متخصصة في السنة‪ ،‬والتي تركز من خالل إطالق مسميات متفردة على كل نسخة‬ ‫من المعرض بما هو متعلق بالطباعة وأوجهها المختلفة‪ ،‬ويقوم المتحف حاليا بإقامة معرض‬ ‫تحت عنوان “من الطباعة الحجرية إلى األوفست”‪ ،‬حيث يتضمن المعرض نماذج مختلفة‬ ‫ومتعددة األلوان من الطباعة الحجرية وعينات من الطباعة باألوفست والتي يعود تاريخها‬

‫إلى بدايات القرن العشرين‪.‬‬ ‫وفي هذه األثناء‪ ،‬ستستضيف قاعة رقم ‪ 6‬فعاليات جائزة “‪Type Meets Editorial‬‬ ‫‪ ”Design‬خالل معرض دروبا‪ ،‬وستمنح الجائزة ألفضل العب في فئة ‪typeface‬‬

‫والتصميم الرسومي‪ ،‬وهي المرة األولى التي يتم فيها عقد مسابقة عالمية في مجال تصميم‬ ‫‪ typeface‬والتصاميم الرسومية‪ ،‬وتم إطالق اسم “أوسكار الطباعة” للداللة على أهميتها‬ ‫التي توازي أهمية جوائز األوسكار األمريكية في صناعة األفالم‪ ،‬وسيعقد حفل تسليم الجائزة‬ ‫في جناح رقم إيه ‪ 4‬في القاعة رقم ‪ 6‬خالل معرض دروبا المقبل‪.‬‬
