omenzamos el 2018 con muy buenas noticias. Ya podemos anunciar que desde el 5 de marzo la capital petrolera del país, Comodoro Rivadavia, será parte de nuestra red de rutas de cabotaje, siendo el segundo destino dentro de Chubut, después de Puerto Madryn, adonde llegamos desde el inicio de nuestras operaciones hace casi 12 años.

El mayor puerto exportador de petróleo es también un atractivo destino para actividades de turismo aventura por eso mismo pensamos que será ideal para los viajeros de negocios y los que busquen emociones en la Patagonia Argentina. Dispondremos de vuelos diarios de Lunes a Viernes, saliendo de Buenos Aires a la mañana y regresando desde Comodoro después del mediodía.

Estamos transitando una intensa temporada de verano con una muy buena ocupación en los vuelos hacia los balnearios de Punta del Este en Uruguay y Mar del Plata, en la costa bonaerense. Todavía quedan muchas olas por surfear y días de sol para descansar en la arena, esperamos que puedan disfrutarlos.

Nuestras rutas hacia el Norte Argentino están mejor cada día, demostrando que el verano también es el momento óptimo para aventurarse en la Puna Salteña, las verdes selvas jujeñas y los Valles Calchaquíes en Tucumán. Además febrero es tiempo de Carnaval y todos los esperan para divertirse.

Iguazú sigue batiendo récords de visitantes y estamos muy orgullosos de contribuir con nuestra ruta a la ciudad misionera a que cada vez más gente se asombre con las maravillas de un destino tan convocante como las Cataratas del Iguazú. ¿Y qué decir de Bariloche, Mendoza, Córdoba o Puerto Madryn en verano? Que los colores son más intensos, que las actividades al aire libre se disfrutan más, que las noches nos regalan hermosos cielos y las aventuras están más a la mano, que… ¿qué más, no?

Y como no podemos dejar de dar buenas noticias queremos adelantarles que desde el mes de julio sumaremos a nuestra red de rutas El Calafate y Ushuaia. Pero de eso vamos a dar más detalles el mes que viene! Los esperamos.

e begin 2018 with very good news. We can now announce that from March 5, the petroleum capital of Argentina, Comodoro Rivadavia, will be part of our network of our coastal trade, being the second destination in Chubut after Puerto Madryn, to which we have traveled since the beginning of our operations almost 12 years ago.

Our routes to northern Argentina are better every day, showing that summer can be the opportune time to have adventures in the Puna Salteña, the Green jungles of Jujuy and the Calchaquíes Valleys in Tucumán. In addition, February is the time for Carnaval and everyone is looking forward to a good time.

Iguazú continues to beaten visitors’ records and we are very proud to contribute with our route to the Misiones city that more and more people are astounded with the wonders of a destination that calls everyone, like the Iguazú Falls.

And, what can be say about Bariloche, Mendoza, Córdoba or Puerto Madryn during summer? The colors are the deepest, outdoor activities are at hand, and the nights given us the most beautiful skies, what else…there’s more?

And how can we not tell the good news that lies ahead that with the month of July, we add our routes with El Calafate and Ushuaia. We’re going to be giving more details about the next month! We are waiting for you.

a aseguradora estadounidense Aflac se asoció a la empresa de juguetes robóticos Sproutel para desarrollar “My Special Aflac Duck”, un pato de peluche que posee sensores táctiles en sus mejillas y alas. El juguete fue ideado especialmente para los niños con cáncer que se encuentran internados ya que responde a las caricias y abrazos de sus dueños respondiendo con graznidos alegres. Además tiene unos accesorios grabados con diferentes emojis que se colocan en el pecho de Duck para expresar cómo se sienten ese día, y el pato lo emulará con un gorjeo feliz o un gemido doloroso.

La empresa dijo que el objetivo es ayudar a los niños a sentir que no están solos en el proceso, ya que el pato refleja sus propias emociones.

El pato cuenta con un sistema intravenoso para que los niños simulen la administración de medicamentos, para ayudarlos a sentirse menos asustados con la quimioterapia.

en el paladar

Las Berenjenas en Escabeche son uno de los ingredientes infalibles en una buena picada de domingo.

L

os amantes de las picadas sabrán entender que uno de los ingredientes infaltables son las Berenjenas al Escabeche, y si son preparadas por alguna abuela, ¡mejor! Pero aunque parezca una receta difícil es mucho más simple aunque sí lleva su tiempo.

Se necesita: 1 kilo de berenjenas; 1 litro de agua; 1 litro de buen vinagre; 1 litro de aceite; 200 gramos de sal gruesa; 2 dientes de ajo; 1 cebolla; 1 morrón; ajo en láminas y condimentos como laurel, pimienta negra y pimentón.

Se recomienda que las berenjenas no sean muy grandes, ya que suelen ser amargas. Se cortan en rodajas de 1 centímetro de espesor y se dejan en un colador con un puñado de sal de 30 minutos a una hora. Esto elimina su amargura y las deja más blandas. Enjuagar bien.

Se calienta en una olla el agua y el vinagre, se le agrega la pimienta negra y unas hojas de laurel. Cuando rompa hervor, se cocinan las berenjenas por unos minutos.

Por otro lado hay que saltear el morrón y la cebolla y reservar. Ahora viene la parte más trabajosa, armar los frascos. Para eso primero habrá que esterilizarlos en agua hirviendo y después habrá que colocar en capas las rodajas de berenjenas con el salteado de morrón y cebollas, ajos, granos de pimienta, otra de berenjenas, etc. hasta bien arriba. Cubrir todo con aceite de buena calidad (preferible de oliva), llevar a la heladera y esperar al menos una semana, aunque lo ideal es un mes.

Sólo queda un paso más: ¡disfrutarlas!

A classic for the palate Marinated eggplant (Berenjenas en escabeche) is a necessary part of a good Sunday fish platter.

S

nack lovers will understand that one of the essential guests is marinated eggplant and if this dish is made by a grandmother, even better! But, while it may seem like a difficult recipe, it’s much simpler if you take your time.

Here’s what you will need: 1 kilo of eggplant; 1 liter of water; 1 liter of good vinegar; 1 liter of oil; 200 grams of cooking salt; 2 cloves of garlic; 1 onion; 1 sweet pepper; 1 slice of garlic and condiments like bay leaves, black pepper, and paprika.

It is recommended that the eggplants should not be very big, they tend to be more bitter. Cut them in 1 centimeter think slices and leave them in a strainer with a handful of salt for 30 minutes to an hour. This will eliminate their bitterness and leave them soft. Dry them well. Heat in a sauce pan the water and the vinegar, add the black pepper and some bay leaves. Bring them to a boil and cook them for some minutes. Now sautee the sweet pepper and onions and set aside. Now comes the work part, assemble the containers. For this you first will have to sterilize them in boiling water and afterwards place in layers the slice of eggplant with the sauteed sweet peppers and onions, garlic, pepper, more eggplants, etc. until the containers are filled up.

poco de cumplir 30 años junto a la música y al reggae roost, La Zimbabwe vuelve publicar un disco con canciones originales: “Cultivemos la paz”. Ante un mundo muy convulsionado el grupo liderado por Marcelo “Chelo” Delgado (voz) se despacha con una obra amena y necesaria para los tiempos que corren, donde es necesario hacer más el amor y menos la guerra.

Luego de haber pasado por un prolongado impasse, volvieron definitivamente en 2012 con una formación alternativa y la fuerte convicción de seguir predicando el género que popularizó Bob Marley. Por eso, puede que el reciente álbum sea el trabajo más logrado desde que Delgado y compañía regresaron a los escenarios.En colaboración con el DJ Nelson, el grupo publicó su primer corte hasta el momento, “Nada me gusta más”, un track que dialoga con “Traición a la mejicana” y por ende con la faceta más festiva de su ADN, el mismo que a finales de los ’80 los acercó al mainstream de la industria.

En su nuevo libro, Sebastián De Caro analiza los tanques fílmicos de los 80.

La idea era hacer un libro sobre el cine de los 80, pero poco a poco mutó a un viaje a lo que fue ese cine, la cultura del VHS y la aparición de tantos íconos de cultura pop”, reconoció ante la prensa el autor sobre la génesis de su más reciente libro, “La máquina de chicle y de neón” (Los tanques de los 80). Las aguas del río son reconocidas por sus propiedades minerales y según testimonio de sus pobladores, también por sus virtudes curativas. Esta fama se remonta a unos 100 años, cuando el agua era llevada a lomo de mula hasta la Ciudad de Córdoba Capital, como medicina para curar enfermos, ya que se decía que tenía propiedades terapéuticas que hasta el día de hoy se le siguen atribuyendo.

sus 76 años, ¿qué cuenta pendiente le puede quedar a Ramón “Palito” Ortega? Con casi 50 años de carrera, a priori, se podría arriesgar que ninguna, que él ya lo hizo de todo, hasta lo que nunca se imaginó: discos, películas, construyó un imperio comercial y hasta se animó a la política, cuando tuvo un paso por la gobernación de su provincia natal, Tucumán, entre 1991 y 1995.

Sin embargo, el “Rey” vuelve por su corona y la reclama empuñando un nuevo disco, Rock n’ Roll (2017), en el que además de incluir dos canciones inéditas, “María” y “Donde suena el Rock & Roll”, se anima a versionar muchas de sus primeras y fundamentales referencias.

El disco tiene 12 temas con sus letras -muchas adaptadas por el propio Palito- traducidas al español: Rock de la cárcel, No seas cruel y Amame tiernamente, que inmortalizara Elvis Presley; Johnny B. Goode, de Chuck Berry; Confidente de secundaria, de Jerry Lee Lewis; Zapatos de gamuza azul, de Carl Perkins y el célebre La plaga (Good Golly Miss Molly).

El comienzo de la leyenda El sucesor de Cantando con amigos (2015), otro acercamiento al género que lo vio nacer, funciona además como un inesperado homenaje a Nery Nelson, alter ego que adoptó Ortega al principio de su historia artística. “El que se bancó lo peor fue Nery Nelson, no Palito Ortega”, señaló el músico en relación a la figura que construyó para desandar sus primeros pasos en la industria.

Previo a la explosión de El Club del Clan, uno de los primeros programas musicales de la televisión argentina, Ortega, aún conocido como Nelson, ya daba que hablar en Mendoza, donde interpretó temas folclóricos en Radio Cuyo por tres meses. Con el tiempo y el transcurso de las presentaciones, grabó un puñado de discos bajo el amparo del sello Azteca.

Por eso en Rock n’ Roll prima el recuerdo de aquella figura, porque fue el primer ladrillo en una pared enorme. “Se trata de una etapa de mi vida que no quería dejar en el olvido. Nery Nelson era el que andaba por las calles de Mendoza queriendo que lo escuchen”, confesó Ortega, que además se desempeñó como director y productor discográfico.

“Sentí verdaderamente el rigor de la búsqueda, de la vida. En muchos casos, eso significaba no tener lo esencial para vivir más que de pensión en pensión”, dijo quien antes de la fama absoluta llegó a irse de gira por Chile, junto a los Lions. “Tuve la entereza para no abandonar y volver por una nueva oportunidad a Buenos Aires. Aunque por lo delgado fui rebautizado como Palito, yo quería seguir siendo Nery Nelson”.

ight in the midst of summer vacation, Nat Geo Kids presented a new series of cartoons with a strange title: ¡Atchoo! (Achoo) If the name seems funny it is because it is the noise we make when we sneeze, right? What happens is that Teo, an amusing nine-year-old kid had a curious skill: to become an animal with each sneeze. The problem is that unfortunately he cannot control his sneezing, nor guess what animal he will become every time.

He has two best friends, Flo and Peter, that go with him on each great adventure upon whom he can always depend.

Una vez verificado el talle de cada uno de los integrantes del tour comienza la difícil tarea de colocarse el traje de neoprene, porque hay que saber que les tomará como mínimo 15 minutos enfundarse en esos apretados trajes que se niegan a deslizarse por nuestro cuerpo, y muchas veces será una tarea que debe realizarse entre dos. ¡Si la risa lo permite!

El traje que se utiliza tiene 7 mm de espesor, lo que aísla bastante del agua del Atlántico Sur que puede rondar entre los 10 y los 21 C, pero opcionalmente podrán solicitar trajes secos (mayor protección frente al frío).

Se le provee a cada uno de una máscara, un tubo de snorkel y las patas de rana para facilitar el nado en mar abierto. De allí el grupo se dirige hasta la orilla del mar donde aguarda una lancha que será la encargada de trasladar a los nerviosos aventureros hasta el destino, a unos 25 o 30 minutos de navegación.

Ya en el sitio y antes de lanzarse al agua cada uno debe ponerse su salvavidas y recordar las indicaciones que dieran los guías durante el traslado: no tener miedo, flotar ayudado del suave movimiento de las piernas y esperar que los lobos se acerquen a uno, pero sin intentar tocarlos, o abrazarlos. Claro que esas mismas instrucciones no las reciben los lobitos, especialmente las crías, que curiosas suelen acercarse a los nadadores para tocarlos con sus narices como si buscaran el cariño y los mimos de los humanos.Las sensaciones de estar flotando en ese mar helado rodeados del más absoluto silencio, salvo las expresiones de los emocionados visitantes es indescriptible.

he Proa Foundation in the neighborhood of La Boca is putting on an exhibit until next April of the first great retrospective in South America dedicated to Ai Weiwei, one of the most celebrated and influential Chinese artists in the world.

The showing is called “Inoculación” (Innoculation) and includes large iconic installations, sculptures and objects, photographs, and videos. The artist understands the totality of the architecture of Proa as expositional space, that includes the sidewalk, the bookstore, and the café, creating an interesting relation between tradition and modernity.

a mística del Teatro Colón es conocida en todas partes, y no son pocos los artistas que aseguran que tiene la mejor acústica del mundo. Por su escenario han pasado espectáculos de gran renombre vinculados a la música clásica, el ballet y la ópera. Pero desde hace un tiempo, el Colón también es un sitio abierto para otra clase de conciertos que abre un poco más el target del público que lo elige.

Tal es así que en los últimos días de febrero se llevará a cabo el espectáculo “Festival Único”.

he mystic of the Colón Theater is known everywhere and there are not a few artists who say that it has the best acoustics in the world. El Rally Dakar volvió a pasar por Argentina. La competencia fue disfrutada por fanáticos y turistas que viajaron a los destinos especialmente para ser parte del evento.

l 6 de enero en la ciudad de Lima, Perú, se llevó cabo la largada de la 40 edición del Rally Dakar, que luego recorrió Bolivia y Argentina, siendo la 10º vez consecutiva que la competencia se desarrolla en nuestro país.

En total se realizaron 9.000 kilómetros de recorrido para los 337 vehículos inscriptos (190 motos/quads, 105 autosy 42 camiones), con 54 nacionalidades representadas, con Francia como país con más competidores, seguido de Argentina.

Esta décima edición sudamericana tuvo 14 etapas, de las cuales 5 fueron en territorio peruano, 4 etapas en Bolivia y 5 en nuestro país (Salta, Belén, Chilecito, San Juan y Córdoba). Cabe destacar que Argentina repitió la experiencia de 2017 organizando las “Ferias Dakar”, lugares de exposición y entretenimiento para aficionados.

Este año se realizaron en Salta (13 y 14 de enero), Santa María, Catamarca (15); Villa Unión, La Rioja (16); San Juan (17), Mina Clavero, Córdoba (18) y Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba (19 y 20).

El ministro de Turismo de la Nación, Gustavo Santos, dijo sobre la prueba: “El Dakar representa un esfuerzo muy grande, es una prueba de supervivencia, un desafío que lleva al máximo las capacidades humanas y es una metáfora de Argentina, del trabajo que hacemos todos juntos para llevar a nuestro país a las mejores metas”.

“En estos últimos años desde el Ministerio de Turismo de la Nación hemos trabajado mucho para lograr que esta competencia se vuelva más humanizada y sostenible.

Las butacas ofertadas ascendieron de 14 mil a 80 mil y más de 65 mil pasajeros eligieron la compañía cada mes. En tanto, en Argentina, alcanzó el 8 por ciento del share aerocomercial y se posicionó como la línea aérea de capitales privados más importante del país.

Los pasajeros que volaron el 23, 24 y 25 de diciembre pasados fueron recibidos por los miembros de la tripulación de cabina con un colorido look navideño y actitud festiva. Además el B 737-800 estaba ploteado con una imagen de Papa Noel, llamando la atención en todos los aeropuertos a los que llegó.
