MOLLIE’S story THE SONG “WHEN YOU DREAM BIG” BEGAN WITH A SCHOOL PROJECT TO PROVIDE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR CHILDREN IN NAIROBI, KENYA AT CHEERY CHILDREN EDUCATION CENTRE. OUR SCHOOL DID SO MUCH TO HELP THESE KIDS AND I WANTED TO CONTINUE WHAT WE STARTED AS A CLASSROOM AND DO MORE FOR THIS EDUCATION CENTRE. I BELIEVED I COULD SHARE MY MUSICAL GIFTS IN HOPES OF HELPING THE PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY. MUSIC IS MY PERSONAL PASSION. I SING, PLAY THE PIANO, GUITAR AND UKULELE. I DECIDED TO USE THESE GIFTS BUT NEEDED SOME EXTRA HELP WITH WRITING A SONG. I MET WITH A SONGWRITER, AARON SIDWELL AND I DESCRIBED OUR PROJECT AND WHAT MY DREAMS WERE, AND “WHEN YOU DREAM BIG” WAS CREATED FROM THAT MEETING. I hope selling this song can help PROVIDE more LIFESTRAWS, A WATER FILTRATION DEVICE TO THE HOMES OF THESE CHILDREN. BY USING THE “SKYPE” TECHNOLOGY, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SHARE THE SONG WITH THE NAIROBI STUDENTS. THIS HAS BEEN A LIFE CHANGING MOMENT FOR ALL THOSE INVOLVED!
