The Senior’s rules! In the newest “Rules of Golf” booklet, the USGA has not included some specialized adjudication of Toerberisms most significantly impacted rules that apply specifically to special 55 & over senior golfers whom display a bit of Curmudgeon elements. Curmudgeon is so noted as bad, cranky, or ill tempered male individual, especially an “old” one. Usually observed all bent out of shape throwing; verbal tantrums, golf clubs, and tees as a result of or from some tiltwad golf ball trajectory or the lack there of... Seniors, let’s get started: Most noted and affected, The Flagstick Players will be permitted to leave the flagstick in the hole while playing a shot from the green, and there is no penalty if the ball strikes the flagstick. If the ball strikes the flagstick and does not enter the cup, the ball is considered “entering” the cup. Age Brackets In professional Senior golf tournaments, players aged 50 and above are considered Senior golfers. Although in nonprofessional golf, Senior golf age brackets vary. (Guidance so noted in Rule § 219.a.2(t) “Familiar Tee Marker Colours”).
