This diploma thesis project concerns the design of ceramics workshops accompanied by hostels in Thassos. The site area is located on the island of Thassos and specifically in “Giola”, which is a natural rocky pool and a landmark for the island, located in the region of Astris. However, this natural wealth remains a rough diamond inaccessible to tourists, and as a result it does not attract the expected number of tourists that it would under different circumstances. In addition, knowing that the island has a rich history in the production of pottery since ancient years, led us to design ceramics workshops, in order to preserve and highlight the history of this place. The key aim of the project consists the concept of a holistic integration of architecture into the specific natural environment.
