Photography is another one of my greatest passions. My forte, if you will, is family and itty bitty (children) photos. I’m starting to love sports & concert photography, too There's just something so rewarding about capturing precious moments that are too easily forgotten without a camera. I am the lucky one I get to stand behind a camera to capture all of your family's milestones and memories.

As I mentioned, I'm a mother to five wonderful (grown) children; five beaming lights in my life that I can't imagine living without. I'm also a wife to my incredibly supportive husband.
Husband, children and photography aside, I also love listening to music I love all types of music, but I am a big fan of New Edition & Janet Jackson. I've loved them, as long as. I have been fascinated with photography.
I'm going to stop talking about myself and let you flip through the remaining pages of this guide. Most soon-to-be mothers I speak to are either absolutely gung-ho about their maternity pictures or they're a little apprehensive about the idea On one hand, this is a monumental moment! You're with child, you're radiant, you're excited and your life is seriously about to change. On the other, you're a little uncomfortable with your changing body and the thought of standing in front of a camera seriously freaks you out.
I'm here to tell you that there's nothing to be nervous about. Your maternity pictures are photographs that you will cherish forever and ever They're pictures that yours friends and family will absolutely adore; pictures that your child and your child's child will look at in the future and think, "Wow!" Trust me!
In other words: don't let any qualms you've got about your body whatever they may be get in the way of photographs that'll be admired for many years down the road. My goal is to make sure you look and feel absolutely gorgeous from beginning to end.
My maternity sessions include unlimited outfit and location changes I prefer to shoot outdoors on location, but I absolutely respect a soon-to-be-mother's need for serenity and privacy, so indoor or private locations are absolutely OK.
If you're like a lot of the soon-to-be-mothers I meet, you may be a little camera shy right now. Especially when you're seven to nine months pregnant. And who can blame you! After all, your body has changed over the last several months, your baby is sitting low and you probably feel uncomfortable even walking from the kitchen to the living room sofa. Believe me, I can absolutely relate.
Let me tell you something, though. You are gorgeous. You are stunning. In this moment, you are the absolute epitome of natural beauty And every single picture we take together will showcase the inherent grace and elegance that accompanies all women with child.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: there is an unparalleled luminescence that radiates from a pregnant woman A glow so unique to pregnancy that it's impossible to replicate under any other circumstance. NEWBORN Portraits
Oh, baby! I look forward to newborn sessions so much! The sweetness of a precious babe and all the love that fills up a room when they're present -- is so contagious that I can't help but leave a newborn session positively delirious!
I recommend scheduling newborn sessions within the first few weeks of your child's birth. We can work together to play things by ear. Because newborns lose that "newborn look" so quickly, the sooner we get the pictures taken, the better.
I take a very natural approach to all my newborn photos.I tend to work with a minimal amount of props love to incorporate both mom and dad into some of the pictures,as well. If you have other children who are game for pictures, we'll certainly include them in this newborn picture party, too.
In addition to straight forward newborn sessions, I also provide milestone pictures, which include a newborn, 3-month, 6-month, 9-month and 1-year session. These are booked and paid for as one collection. We can schedule each of the five sessions in advance, or we can pencil them in as it's convenient to your schedule.
Lastly, I do offer a birthing session, which includes photo journalistic pictures of the birthing process (Like a video, but photo form) and newborn pictures. I'm on call two weeks prior and after your due date day and night to ensure I'm there for the entire experience.

Those first few weeks after your child is born are life changing It's as if your whole world has opened up and you've discovered that life wasn't as bright or colorful before your baby entered the world.
I want to capture what you're feeling I want to document the looks exchanged between mother, father and baby. Those are moments so precious that you can't even describe them with the letters of the alphabet. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I contend that a picture is worth far more A picture captures impalpable essence
In addition to snapping some photographs of you and dad with baby, my newborn sessions also include a series a photographs taken of just your newborn For example, I like to get details of wee little feet, a tiny hand clasped around dad's finger, that button nose and tuft of fluffy hair. In addition to the details, I'll also photograph your newborn resting peacefully. Perhaps in a cozy, comfortable nook or on top of the blanket he'll sleep with for years to come My camera knows no bounds
Now, I know you're going to be exhausted after all that pushing. The best part about a newborn session, though, is the fact that you don't have to do anything but show up I'll even come to you!
Just tell me where to drive and I'll be there right on time with all my props and equipment and an eagerness to capture meaningful images of your sweet little angel. Remember, the emphasis here is on your newborn, so your little one will be the star of the day.
As for scheduling your newborn photos, when we take them is your decision. Because that "newborn look" tends to fade quickly, newborn photographs are typically taken shortly after you return from the hospital. Sometimes people even want their newborn photographs done at the hospital 24 to 36 hours after their baby has entered the world
Itty Bitty PORTRAIT SESSIONS
Your kiddos are your world and heaven knows that changes in the blink of an eye Those precious curls on your Itty Bitty's head They won't last forever That adorable face that they always make may move on to different expressions Those tiny fingers That sibling affection The chubby cherub cheeks and shy grin If only you could freeze all those little quirks in time… but wait! You can! With a children's portrait session, of course.
Children's photography sessions are always a good time I love bringing out a child's personality no matter how young he or shy might be
Typically, one of a parent's biggest "fears" when it comes to a child session is a.) forcing their child into something they don't want to do and b ) having a child notparticipate in the session at all Let me qualm your fears
First, my sessions are fun and I've got a number of tricks up my sleeve that'll make sure your kiddo wants to be there Second, if your child, or children, are having a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day (hey, it happens!) we'll just reschedule -- no cost to you -- and make it work at a time that's convenient for both of us.

Did you know that your newborn's face changes within the first week of being born? Even their eye or hair color can change within a few months after birth!
Within a year's time, a newborn goes through so many changes that, without the help of photographs, you'd have a hard time remembering all those little quirks your babe had along the way From changing faces and bodies to all those adorable expressions or movements, they all seem to go away in a moment's time
It really is true about what people say -- they grow up so fast! That's why it's so important to capture all those little changes as they happen over time.
While I absolutely urge you -- no, beg you! -- to take as many photographs of your darling cherub as you can, also consider having professional milestone photographs taken
With my milestone package, I'll make sure you have a series of exquisite, meaningful pictures of your newborn at various stages in his or her very early life The package includes four different sessions, including a 3month, 6-month, 9-month and 1-year photo shoot.

When should I schedule maternity photos?
As a general rule of thumb, I like to schedule your maternity session shortly after you've told friends and family the exciting news! This will give us plenty of time to find a great day that works well for both of us Maternity photos are typically taken when you're showing -- generally around 7 to 9 months into your pregnancy
How many outfits should I bring to my maternity session?
Two to four outfits for your maternity session is a good number to bring. I like to always have at least two for variety's sake, but whether you want to wear more than that is up to you. I always recommend bringing a backup outfit or two just in case you're not "feeling" the outfit you'd planned to wear
What should I consider when planning maternity outfits?
My biggest piece of advice is to wear something you feel both comfortable and beautiful in My second piece of advice is for you to choose a non black or white top that is form-fitting enough to showcase your baby bump Lastly, wear a supportive, wellfitting bra Between us ladies, I know that breasts change a lot during pregnancy, so pick up a new bra that fits immaculately before our session to avoid discomfort and any lumps or bumps!
What about props for sessions?
During our initial consultation, we can discuss the props I have available and what you'd be interested in using during our shoot For example, I have various backdrops, blankets, baskets and other items.
Where do we take the photographs?
Where we take photographs depends on the type of session we're shooting For maternity and gender reveal sessions, I like to do on-location, outdoor photographs that let us maximize our access to natural light. This can be in a beautiful pasture, quaint park, in the woods or even in urban settings For newborn and milestone photographs, it's best to choose a quiet and serene location That typically means your home or my studio. Birthing sessions are done in the hospital or wherever you choose to give birth
Can my partner or child be in the photographs, too?
Of course! I love incorporating mom, dad and your other children into our session photos
When do I schedule my milestone session dates?
You can schedule your milestone session dates as far in advance as you like. I like to get it all out of the way and schedule them all Don't worry -- I know you'll be busy, so I'll send you both an email and snail mail reminder so you don't forget your 3, 6, 9 and 12 month sessions!
What kind of photos do you take at birthing sessions?
I typically do documentary-style photographs. In other words, very little -- if any -- posing. Just raw emotions and moments as they happen! As for types of photographs I take during birthing session, everyone's preferences vary. In our consultation, we can discuss what kinds of photographs you feel comfortable with and go from there. Some people want me there to document the pushing and the crying Others prefer if I come after mom has given birth. It's all up to you and I'm happy to photograph it all.
What is a Newborn Portrait Session?
A Newborn Portrait Session is designed to capture the earliest moments of your baby’s life, focusing on the delicate features and peaceful expressions of your newborn These sessions are perfect for babies from fresh out of the womb up to 6 months old, ideally scheduled within the first two weeks when they are more sleepy and naturally curl up into those precious poses.
What is an Itty Bitty Portrait Session?
An Itty Bitty Portrait Session is tailored for children aged 6 months to 10 years old These sessions capture the milestones, personality, and growth of your little one, whether they are just starting to sit up, taking their first steps, or already running around. Itty Bitty Sessions are all about preserving the essence of childhood, with a focus on the joyful, playful moments that define these early years.
How long do the sessions last?
Newborn Sessions typically last between 2 to 4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing, and comforting your baby to ensure they are calm and happy during the shoot. Itty Bitty Sessions usually last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the age and energy level of your child. This timeframe keeps the session fun and engaging without overwhelming your little one
What about props for sessions?
During our initial consultation, we can discuss the props I have available and what you'd be interested in using during our shoot For example, I have various backdrops, blankets, baskets and other items.
What should I bring and what should my child wear?

Can parents and siblings be included in the sessions?
Absolutely! Including parents and siblings can make the session even more special Family portraits can be a beautiful addition to your gallery, creating lasting memories that feature the whole family together
What if my newborn is fussy or my toddler is shy during the session?
Don’t worry! Newborn sessions are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing plenty of time for feeding, comforting, and breaks to ensure your baby is content For Itty Bitty Sessions, we take a patient and playful approach, allowing your child to warm up to the camera at their own pace The goal is to make the session fun and relaxed, capturing authentic moments.
How should I prepare my child for a session?
Ensure your child is well-rested and fed before the session to keep them happy and cooperative. Bringing along a favorite toy or snack can also help keep them comfortable and entertained
Where will the sessions take place?
Sessions can take place in our studio, at your home, or at a location of your choice. The aim is to create a comfortable and familiar environment, whether it’s a cozy indoor setting or an outdoor space your child loves Just be sure the location has enough space for all of the props and a 3 - 4 light setup
How long does it take to receive the photos, and can I order prints or albums?
You can expect to receive your edited images within 2-3 weeks after the session, delivered via a private online gallery where you can view and select your favorite images. We offer a variety of print and album options, including high-quality prints, canvases, and customdesigned albums to preserve your memories beautifully.
How do I book a session, and what is the cost?
