BCC has created an actionable statement that helps define our philosophy known as The Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Below is a small sample of staff members who are helping to make BCC your favorite place. ◆

July Staff Member of the Month

Jared Hedrick, Server We congratulate Jared on being named July Staff Member of the Month! Jared has been a key ingredient to the Club's Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. He has a strong passion for the Hospitality and Food & Beverage industry. When he's not at the Club, he's in school studying Culinary Arts or working at his family's restaurant in Pennsylvania. He is consistently one of our strongest servers and always commits to the training of our new staff members. We are very grateful to have Jared as a part of our Food & Beverage Team.

Exceptional Leadership Award

Shaun Skeen, Restaurant Chef We congratulate Shaun for receiving the Exceptional Leadership Award! Since his promotion to the role, the restaurant has not missed a beat! Despite the staff shortage due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Shaun shows his leadership skills through his persistence and commitment to the Club, even working in the pantry alone and producing his clerical work in a timely fashion. Additionally, he exhibits excellent composure when delivering food from the kitchen to our members and guests. It is easy to see why Shaun is a very well-respected staff member at the Club!

Simple Truth Award

Justin Gladhill, West Course Superintendent Mark Jones, West Course Assistant Superintendent We congratulate our West Course Superintendent Justin and West Course Assistant Superintendent Mark for receiving the Simple Truth Award! One day following thunderstorms and lighting, Justin and Mark inspected the West Course to survey the property and assess any damage. On the way back to the Grounds Maintenance facility, they noticed a tree down on Jenifer Road. They grabbed two chainsaws and the appropriate safety gear without hesitation and returned to the road where a county police officer met them. Justin and Mark offered to clear the tree from the road, much to the officer’s delight. The officer then blocked the road and turned on his lights, allowing Justin and Mark to safely remove the tree, permitting traffic to proceed safely around the community. Justin and Mark’s quick action to help following the disruptive storm showed that they are invaluable assets to BCC and the surrounding community!
