2024 Golf Annual Survey Lessons Cont.
Positive Feedback Lessons Dave Hutsell does a great job. 100% satisfied Jake is amazing with the kids program. Took lessons from David. He's not available much, but that's a testament to his ability as a coach. Would love more clinic offerings Jake is fantastic with kids lessons! David is terrific. david was great; adjusted swing completely, more natural, efficient, reproducible Take lessons with Dave H. He always makes himself available Would love to see more content from him on Instagram. Cathy is a fantastic coach who follows up with me and is genuinely concerned with my game. She's also a warm, kind person. So happy BCC has added on Operation 36, especially for adults! Cathy Kim is fantastic and I am glad that the club is using her more for social content as well David is great and has helped my game materially. David is the best. Jake, Dave and Ryan are amazing instructors. Jake Thompson was wonderful Ryan Smith was great to work with! Cathy Kim is excellent. She's an excellent communicator, substantive instructor, and genuinely cares about her students. She is kind, gracious, and endearing. Her leadership is exactly what the Golf Instructional Program at BCC needs; and the future will be bright under her leadership.
Constructive Feedback Lessons Technology! Get a 3 D computer with hook ups to show my animated swing. Instructors are not as oriented to working with better players. some prior teaching pros excelled in this area. More follow up from instructors would be great. The ad-hoc roaming the range type of instruction would be great as well. First lesson I had a e-mail w/ lesson summary sent to me; other lessons not. Dave is a great instructor! A follow up was did not occur. Would be helpful to receive an email from the instructor that summarized the golf lesson. BCC needs an outside all weather facility. If we want the best instructors we need to give them better facilities or the same as other clubs in the area. I was able to communicate with golf Instructor by email to sent up lessons., because the online lesson app was not always accurate. The on-line lesson scheduling needs some improvement. Please have an instructor that is moderately priced for lessons. Many people just want help to improve their game, but, can not warrant Need a learning center I don't like the Coach Now app but appreciated the instructor providing video with instruction. That was the most helpful.

2024 Golf Annual Survey Clinics Cont.
Positive Feedback Clinics The clinics were great. Jake and Ryan are terrific teachers. The days/times worked for me so no feedback there.
Constructive Feedback It would be great to have a clinic start time later than 5:00 PM. Some of the clinics communications were confusing regarding the number of times to participate and exactly what was going to be offered. Also some of the clinics indicated they would have 2 instructors and max of 12 people, when in reality there was 1 instructor and 10 people. The teacher/student ratio needs to be more accurate. Would potentially do advanced clinic with outside instructors e.g. Short game specialist, distance specialist, etc Very few geared towards weekend availability. No one day or weekend morning events. I don't think they are geared for better players and the times were not great. No time during the week. I was hoping for a Saturday or Sunday morning adult clinic I get more value from one on one lesson. Would love to see more short game oriented clinics. Specifically chipping. However we dont have a chipping green where one can practice a flat chip There was only one that really interested me, the putting clinic, but the price point (I believe around $400 felt too high Many of the women clinics are offered only weekdays. 5pm is not an easy time to get to the club on a weekday, we need more weekend solutions. Would like to do Project 360 but it was offered too late in the year. The lone clinic that I was interested in did not involve my instructor, nor were they to be compensated for my participation. I felt that participating in the clinic would therefore mean I'd need to become someone else's student (if only momentarily) and that my preferred instructor would neither be made aware of my progress within the clinic nor paid for referring me into it. This felt awkward to me and I chose not to participate in lieu of continuing with further individual instruction. That being said, I believe the clinic itself appeared to be packed with meaningful material and excellent opportunities to learn and grow as a golfer. But I'm loyal to my instructor and didn't want to sacrifice that dynamic in any respect. More specific short game clinics that arnt $300 How about a weekend morning clinic based on handicap index? Would help players of similar levels get to know each other....Thank you for considering programming for newer golf members!! Was overall a great year to play golf at BCC!!!!

Positive Feedback Golf Programs & Events Our tournament schedule is robust and the events are awesome! I played in one tournament and was very impressed with the organization and overall experience The junior PGA was great for my daughter. Jake did a fantastic job with the kids. The team does a first class job of putting on the events. We are lucky to have a great team with Nick at the helm. Only did the ladies member member but thoroughly enjoyed it! Scottish Day-excellent Nick and his team do a fantastic job. Events and staff are great Experience is always good when I come out to play. Staff is great. The member member event was outstanding on every level! I love the increased offerings for women. The LGA weekend events have been fun. The shop team does a fantastic job, communicating, coordinating and hosting events. The variety of events is fun. I see Janine Rich twice a week and Lainey Baer once a week in my effort to mitigate parkinsons. They have given me extra years . I consider them major assets of BCC. . I only play in the Member-Guest and select Guest Days and they are fantastic for me and my guest Very nice to play a round and see the professional staff Great team and great events Club does a nice job Very well run and communicated The golf tournaments are always tremendous. The professional staff do an incredible job as dos food and beverage. The courses are usually in great shape for tournaments, especially member guest and member member. It would be nice if they had them in that condition more often Our team of golf professionals are great This is one of the greatest Golf Professional Staffs we've had at BCC. Nick and his Team do an incredible job with all respects of the operation. Keep up the great work!
Constructive Feedback Golf Programs & Events Should have .more events during non weekday business hours. Suggest having two member guest tournaments vs. one given demand, allowing members to participate in only one. Stage more 9+Done guests events but offer NO charge for golf, echoing successful Elkridge program. Need visible golf calendar. The clubs calendar on the site and app is cumbersome There are so many events and non-member outings it is very hard to actually go play a round Would like to have some event for golfs who are not top-notch golfers, and also 50+ or 55+ or 60+ age group events. It seems that they are none of the above.
7
Constructive Feedback Golf Programs & Events Cont. As a senior I hope I can still participate in competitive outings Very little reach out to or events for the average to below average golfer. So many guest rounds being played it's more like a big Marriott course than a members club. As someone knew off the golf list, there is no communication to you about how to join the women's golf league, what it cost, whether you can join midyear, etc. I plan on joining next year and hope there is more communication about how to do so I only rated the VALUE of golf experience as 3 because my wife uses the club less than 3 times a year making the value less than perfect. Not the quality. I liked having the separate 9 and 18 hole opening and closing meetings and luncheons. LGA isn't really ringing my bell. The 9 hole ladies are not happy with the new system. We are getting lost in the shuffle with being with all the other groups Member-Member-should be simpler Tues Twilight-Fun but pace should be better. Would love to see more events and more varied events. In particular we should encourage more blind draw events. Fun couples events are sparse In terms of tournaments/events, food offering often felt unnecessarily large - more food and variety than needed. Simplify. The methodology of selecting participants for Member-Guest and Member-Member has no transparency. Recreate the BCC webpage for golf professionals. Golf Genius is difficult when signing up for team events. There is not an intuitive way to indicate a partner, etc. Beyond that, we seem to have so many professionals, but I can't seem to understand why. They are rarely ever roaming the golf course marshaling or checking in on rounds, etc. It would be great to see them stop by on a tee box to welcome a guest, but quite honestly I doubt they would even be aware of the guests presence at some times. I have been rejected from the two tournaments (member/guest and member/member) to which I have applied. Next year I intend to register for as many tournament offerings as I can to try again. Navigating the golf events is intimidating for newer golf members. Perhaps there could be a tournament for newer golf members (<5 years). Please consider bringing back the Saturday morning adult golf clinic. a few more events that can involve players of all ages and abilities (net handicaps) and teams of twosomes and foursomes I wish there was an easier way to view the tournaments on an interactive calendar. Something that is visually cleaner and easier to read than what is currently avialable. The .Ladies member member was expensive for what we received. Disappointed that I was left out of the Invitational, especially having been a member for 34 years and an active participant in golf at BCC. MGA interfering with the senior club championship and team matches was very disappointing Probably have too many golf members. It's frustrating to not be able to play in a tournament like the Member/Member. Wish there were more spots available for member/member or member/guest. I would like to see more varied events. Example. Sunday Tees: Finish on #2 like pro Tournament. Play different tees. #2 as par 5 for example. I would like to add another member guest for players on waitlist. No fanfare, just golf. I would like to see a weekend block of tee times that anyone can join. Great way to meet new friends and have a game for the group.m Being a working woman, it is difficult to attend many of the golf events and be part of the LGA due to the majority of the events or rounds being held during office hours. It is a shame that we have not been able to figure something out so that women who work may also participate. It would also be nice to be able to attend the events those of us who work are able to and not have to be a LGA member. They should be open to all women golf members. Golf Genius links in the emails would not work often, would get an error page. Some events were hard to find once signed up for, weren't always on the golf calendar to go back and look at, would make that easier to find next season
8
Constructive Feedback Golf Programs & Events Cont. More fun fall events The events are a little expensive, for example the member-member tournament was $360 and then I get charged separately 5 times for the cart fee (9 hole rounds) , I recommend building the cart fees into the price of the event (this is more of a note for accounting) the sign up genius system is clunky Cart fees should just be included in the price of events. It's ridiculous that they are out of commission for the day, as they are either used or abandoned after transport to the shotgun tee. It would be awesome for more mixed events or expanding the mixed to a two-day. Divot mix for walkers are often not available. Can tees be available closer to the East first tee? Emails blasts are too long. No one checks on the speed of play for women's 18 hole group to keep it moving. First and foremost, the creation of the LGA with literally no input or consultation in advance from the 9-hole ladies' group has destroyed the culture, enthusiasm and participation of that once very large and engaged group. Second, the Nine and Dines are a shadow of their former selves. Very sad. Need more monitoring of slow play For the women's events - we need to host a women - member/guest on the weekend. Tuesday in June ok, not great. Wednesday in September - horrible. How is it we can't find a weekend for one day of member/guest golf? We are entering 2025 - many women members including me work full time. You should consider rotating men/women. Make the men play on the weekday - we pay the same due's! I would further emphasize that the women's twilight golf was particularly disappointing in the months of June/July as this group was displaced for father/son; men's' member guest and whatever other MEN event was happening. Look at the calendar and asses - the twilight barely met until mid-August. Finally - you have to reconsider the parent / child tournament. It makes absolutely no sense on how you can't add handicap for the parents. I was in the flight with the golf championship men's member. I assure you, him getting out of the rough, and me getting out of the rough are entirely two different golf outcomes. How is it you can''t provide some kind of stroke to the parents so their children are not disillusioned that they will never place because there parent is not a scratch golfer. I encourage you to re-look at that format, it has not changed in years.. Mix it up! Evolve is my message to the golf committee. I get the sense is you want everything to stay the same and get better - that is magical thinking! We need to innovate to be a top 100 club. As a National Member, I am 'de-prioritized' for the Father/Son event among others. I don't understand the philosophy around that? Too many womens golf events. I'd rather just play on the day of ladies play day For the member guest I think the shopping experience should be less expensive in order to bring the cost of the member guest down a bit. It is a bit excessive to buy your guest a $300 shopping experience and one for yourself when you are already hosting him to a very nice event. Move the member-member to earlier. It gets too cold in October!

Positive Feedback Golf Experience Joe at the outside bag drop off does a fantastic job. Some days it's great, some days it's slow, but there has been an incremental improvement over the past season. It can often be Definitely an increased presence of pro shop staff on course to ensure proper pace of play. Well done! Staff did a great job all year being attentive and courteous. Bag room was the highlight of the year, great and friendly staff. Tee manager was a bit of a waste, not sure why they are needed or what value they add. Staff is out there but seems like they seldom move people a long. I barely ever saw anyone marshaling. If the tee managers between the shop and the range disappeared tomorrow, nothing would change. They need to be on the actual tee if they are going to be called tee managers. Getting them on the tee box itself would be so much better and improve the process. Was a spectacular season. The courses were in beautiful condition. I cherished every round especially this fall. Besides more weekend events accessible for newer golf members trying to play more tournaments, I wish I could bring my own push cart. Pace of play has been great as well as enforcing slow play Brent, Nick and Don have helped. Too hit or miss All rounds were 4 hours or less, excellent pace. Joe is an incredible asset to the club as generally the first person you interact with. The bag house does an amazing job , the golf staff as a whole is top level, very impressive operation. Things move pretty quick out there which is great. If not, is the best way to get the shop's attention is to call it? Staff was good about groups playing slow and picking up the pace Nick has a great staff and they provide a dynamite level of service
Constructive Feedback Golf Experience East course was soggy for most of the Season. Watering even on days when rain was forecasted. Do not Understand the logic of overwatering and overprotecting the east. Get rid of the unrecyclable water cartons. Water bottles much preferred. The yardage markers for the par threes are not in the right spot and the benches are not close to the whites The push carts are never cleaned. They need to be. Most members are respectful of the pace of play yet others are notoriously, not respectful. Staff should feel emboldened to speed people up early so it's not annoying to other golfers. When possible., we need more POP people out there Enforce pace of play better. People who are not keeping pace should be urged, always, to improve pace of play. Favoritism of tee times for certain members is evident and unfair and irksome At a real golf club, you can show up, meet another member and get a game - BCC is now a TPC experience - everything must be lined up way in advance. I would like to be able to see that it is a nice sunny afternoon on a Tuesday and drive over and play - this is now impossible - so I don't play Should restrict east to handicap of 15 or less during weekends and after 3pm in spring and summer. Pace of play is brutal
10
Constructive Feedback Golf Experience Cont. The pace of play rules seem to confuse people. There are people who think they can play in over 4 hours if they are playing a match. Theres some ambiguity on the pace of play on the early tee times. I thought if you are a twosome of threesome with no one in front of you should be playing in less than 4 hours or keep up w group in front of you. Most of the time pace of play isn't an issue. I think we should be a bit more forward about pace of play. The more we can reduce slow play, and on the other side facilitate faster players to play through when possible, is always going to be a benefit. While pace of play rule " 4 hours or less for a foursome" seems easy enough to understand, it is clear that many members still have different interpretations. I suggest over communication here. If it is expected that early tee times play in under 4 hours, state so. If not, declare that explicitly. Likewise, if there is a time accommodation for matches, explain that.. More likely, restate explicitly that there is no exception for matches There were two times when the staff asked us to speed up, but we were on time or a few minutes within time, but the group in front of us was really fast. So, before asking us to speed up, they should understand how we are doing ahead of Approaching us. The golf courses in particular fairways and greens look over played most times I play. It's also difficult to get desired tee times without advance planning . I've been a golf member for over 30'years and the changes in the number of golf members has greatly impacted my overall experience at BCC. I realize that the strategic membership focus of the club has changed. I am aware of the economic requirements necessary to support the club offerings which have grown substantially. I still enjoy the club however it just feels less personal and more like a resort . Perhaps send an annual member message about play through etiquette for visitors who play slowly. Also build teams within teams on your staff. Promote cool uniforms for team members. Use name tags for team members to help forgetful members address them. As an average golfer I do not play during "prime" hours so I find the bag staff - starter staff etc can be hit or miss more often than not. Trying to get a tee time when u want it is difficult. Too many golfers There are some slow groups. They are easy to identify. It would be good to talk to them in advance of play. Emphasize to members to fix divots and ball marks The driving range renovation has been disappointing. Turf conditions on the warmup tee are barely usable and embarrassing with guests. The poor alignment of the mats makes them difficult to use. Bag room was the highlight of the year, great and friendly staff. Would like to see the front warm up tee to show better. We have too many divots and too much use to maintain a top tier first impression when someone warms up for the first time at BCC. The professional staff need to monitor the pace of play more frequently. Need to ensure tee times started at time. Many times the group in front of me is starting late the weekend afternoons typically do not have rangers on the golf course monitoring pace of play. This would be very helpful!
I felt the bag room was not up to BCC attention to detail standards. I use pushcarts. On more than one ocassion there was trash in the push cart culminating with a used dental pick and broken tees in the pc I used during my last round. 85% of the time I retrieved my own bag - rarely did nay of the young men/boys hop to it to get my bag for me. I saw a lot of chatter happening when they could have been getting my bag. Overall a lot of little things were not tended to and it was consistent throughout my season's experience. The used dental pick was the icing on the cake! Better range facilities A couple of times the past few years on the West Course, a smaller group behind us teed off before their tee time as we were just finishing our 2nd shots, and then seemed to be unhappy that we were ':holding them up'. I think the pace of play is fine. But if there is an issue I believe the staff should appoarch only the member and ask play to be picked up. No need to address the entire group (in front of guests) about the pace of play issue. Guests can be nervous enough and asking to play fastest can make that an even bigger issue. Sometimes the staff could move slow groups along better, but I appreciate this is a delicate task. All in all, I think they do a great job. The staff is there to monitor play when I don't need them. When I do, they are hard to find. There are many players who are not taking care of the course and it is incredibly frustrating to see this. Pace of play seemed well improved this year. There were only a few problem times and unfortunately the staff could not be found when they occurred. Generally though, I feel there is a good staff presence on course. I would appreciate transparency on the fees. I think in the spring the guest fees were lower and in November. Not sure that I ever got anything on this or where it is communicated. Many times no one was at bag drop off to grab my clubs and a few times my clubs were not on a cart when I arrived for a tee time. I think the vast majority of members play at a good pace but it only takes one slow group ... the guys are out there on busy days but it is tough for them to really move people along (but they try hard) Address chronically slow golfers by restricting their access to tee times 1. bag staff is ok, but often cant find bag before tee time. 2. Joe at the bag drop off is awesome, The other guy just sits there and adds no value. 3. the bag room should pay more attention to who's taking a lesson and have the bag on a cart before the lesson time. for a lesson, we like to arrive a bit early and warm up. never has my bag been out when I have a Kathy Kim lesson. easy fix - have a location where lesson bags are staged.

Not very strict on pace of play Never find pace of play an issue but there isn't time to stop (or spend money) at the snack/drink shack. Not sure a solution exists. Don't feel staff monitors pace of play at all The warm up mats on the front range are an issue with alignment. Pace of play should potentially be revised for morning weekend rounds. The same people consistently make play slow for those behind them. Staff does a good job of making them play faster or skip holes the day of but there needs to be a punishment of some sort for consistent offenders. Ruins the afternoon playing slow rounds when everyone knows who is holding up the rest of the course. We need to continue to remind players that they need to keep up with the group in front of them if possible. It is alright to play faster than four hours. More often then not, when dealing with a slow group in front, the staff is unwilling to do what is necessary to move pace of play. Very disappointing. Why are there no questions about the condition of the course in this survey? i'd say that on the rare occasion the round was slow, more pushing of the slow players would be helpful Far and few between, but pace should be enforced on known matches. Also, music/phone use is seldom enforced. Some staff are above exceptional and some are poor. It reflects poorly on management to keep the poor performers around season after season. You know who they are. Bag room staff very regularly didn't clean my clubs. I would play on Saturday, store my clubs, and play again Sunday morning and they'd be dirty. We should start tipping the bag room staff, then the clubs would get cleaned. Member member was the perfect example. Awesome staff, but everyone was at the scoreboard. Huge miss not to spread this talent through the entire event. Pace of play is great on normal play days. Not 18 hole group or women's events. Way too slow. Golf Genius is extremely frustrating to use. There should no be unaccompanied guest play during prime times to play Tuesday thru Sunday While the Rovers are great, when they work, it would be nice to have another motorized option for walkers. The pushcarts are nice for the West Course, but hard to navigate on the back of the East Course. We still have some members who do not adhere to the pace of play rules. There needs to be tighter control of those individuals. As a national member that no longer has a bag slot, my bag is constantly lost within the golf house if I play two days in a row. The staff never knows where my bag is. Monitoring pace of play this year was an improvement over the past but it still should be more strictly enforced The pace of play issue is getting better. The staff does a great job. The grass on the driving range is not cut low enough...needs to be cut like a fairway. Rarely is it cut low enough. I tried to order to two new grips and the ball was dropped several times. It appeared that the bag room staff was not as on top of things as prior years. BCC has an excellent bag room staff, which for the most part delivers five star experiences for the membership. Felt there was a meaningful improvement in this element of the golf experience in 2024. Encourage further growth moving forward. Name recognition, proactive response, and forward-thinking action stood out as differentiating this year. Greeted by uncleaned clubs only a few times (which is still a few times too many, but also not unreasonable). But also ignored on too many occasions, for staff that was talking among themselves and not caring to engage me at all - even as I retrieved my own bag, and at times even cleaned my own clubs. Disappointing when it occured - which was probably a half dozen times or more. That being said, this is a not an easy job to fill, and it's understandable that the experience won't always be perfect. Bag Drop, however, does continue to be an issue. Ed Senseney and Joe Hamilton are both excellent, and go out of their way to make members feel special - especially Joe. But outside of those two, the experience falls woefully short. Far too frequently, members are completely ignored and not engaged. I understand that the job can be mundane with long periods of inaction - but whoever is working that position needs to get past that reality and jump into action with a smile whenever he/she has the opportunity. I'd rather not have anybody there at all than have someone there who is going to ignore people and stare at their phone. It would be wonderful if this element of the experience were improved in 2025. The Tee Managers do a fantastic job and always have a smile and a kind word. The practice facility is lacking, but its not terrible and it affords the ability for warm up and a reasonable level of extended practices. I should not have to log on 7 days ahead of time or not be able to get a tee time too many meter abuse the tee system and book multiple tee times with un named members or guests and then not show up it is ridiculous

Positive Feedback Golf House Entire golf staff is phenomenal starting with Nick at the top. Brent deserves a specific shoutout, as he is always on top of anything a member needs. Everyone is doing a good job providing a first class experience It has improved in product and variety over the last year drastically. Great service, always. Love the variety of items The offerings are trending to a younger and fashion forward group. We are a traditional club and I like it that way. great gear
Last weekend my son was warming up on the range. His US Kids golf 3 wood head broke off during his swing. Brent came out of the clubhouse to get the club and send it back for us. This is the kind of service the entire golf house provides every day! Tim has been great in the bag room. I am constantly impressed and forever grateful. Friendly and helpful staff Phenomenal staff and selection. Staff is great! Don't buy too much, but always find the selection nice and the staff exceptionally helpful Great team and good use of a smaller space, lots of options ... Everyone is very engaging and helpful golf house is awesome. staff and mdse is great Golf house and staff are exceptional. Great selection for men; poor selection for women. Great team and great experience One personal experience - I placed an order in the spring that experienced some inventory issues at the manufacturer level. I was working with Brent and he kept me informed through the entire process as to when and what was coming in. It was excellent service. Staff is always great. Great staff and offerings all around Staff is terrific. I think choices and variety have increased for the better. The Golf Staff is amazing! They are friendly, helpful, and try to provide a nice experience for golfers. Thank you for increasing the variety for women. Love the new brands that have made their way into the Golf House this season. Very refreshing and very trendforward. Appreciate the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and endearing nature. Always better to feel welcomed when entering the Golf House, rather than ignored for staring at a screen behind the counter. Appreciated that this element of the experience began to change for the better in 2024. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Constructive Feedback Golf House It's difficult to get special order responses and follow up. Need more brands. Exclusive runs of stuff 1x prints sell for premium. Members only options like caves (style and when order comes in notify member quickly A couple times I have special ordered something and it never arrives - I believe the orders were never actually Staff could be more on top of the various guest rates - numerous instance did incorrect billing. Club house staff was not up to the usual high level of service. They did not recall names, were often not at the desk and when asked for help would give the bare minimum. Getting a better understanding of how custom ordering works would be great. Have asked for larger hats. When they come in I buy. Then they sell out quickly. When I ask if more are coming in I am told 'yes' then they never show up would love more womens merch. Need to offer better selection of hats including American Needle cotton. More offering of cotton shirts vs performance shirts Need a better selection of women's golf clothing Don't think I ever see any sweater vests for sale. Need more small sizes!! I still think we should have an established alternate logo (like Oakmont and the squirrel) People want to buy their spouse's gifts using their CC and not charge membership. Staff sometimes has difficulty documenting these purchases. As far as the merchandise goes, I feel as if there are too many brands in the golf shop. Would prefer a wider selection from a more niche group of brands that everyone knows and loves (Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne, Greyson, etc.) The golf shop is my Disney land , asked to have the logo on a polo moved to the sleeve and everyone was so helpful! Great job. Need more Holderness and borne large quarter zip tops and different color imperial BCC visors More sales throughout the year. Or drop the price further if it's not selling after the initial sale. More wedge variety would be appreciated too. Continue to add additional women's options- all sizes Jason is not responsive. He does not try to tell people that he can special order and he does not respond to email about gifts when you run events for the groups. This position should be hired by Nick and not the club since it is nicks merchandise. The whole experience is painful. For ordering for events or team gear. Literally have to hunt him down in person.
Expand the Women's department! So crammed into a small space, it's hard to see the merchandise. You could do so much more business if you had more ladies' goods and a larger, better displayed area, like the men's! Women's selection is limited The merchandis is getting better but I think even more room to grow. need more offeriongs I special ordered something this year of something that is commonly in the pro shop. I never asked the price nor was it provided. When it billed, it was way higher than I expected. A better experience would have been to set my expectations of what the price would have been when i made the order.
Need more Peter Millar.

Positive Feedback Refreshment Stands They are great; no need to change, certainly no need to build new facilities Always had what I wanted. Keep doing what we are doing. Works great Good offerings They are fine.. Adequate for our needs as we quickly pass through to keep up pace of play. The refreshment stand experience is solid, and while not differentiating, does not inhibit the overall experience at BCC. The staff is kind and helpful, and the offerings are more than fine. Keep uncrustables
Constructive Feedback Refreshment Stands More variety for a quick lunch/snack for walkers Menu needs more variety. The bread can be stale and the salads have too much mayo. The servers often times seem confused. Often the premade sandwiches have stale bread. Improving the food options on course would be great. need to carry gluten free beer in cans An App to order ahead or have runners for drinks. ie bag room staff to run drinks out to course. Need more professional kins More high protein low carb options. I think just having someone at the stand is the important part. More options of chips I think we could use more drink options and make sure the stands are stocked with popular items Need an additional drink stand on 13 east Staff at the refreshment stands tends to not be BCC's best. Better point of sale system to avoid incorrect charges The gazebos next to 13 tee on the east, 5 fairway west, 18 tee west should have coolers with beer on a honor system with a signature sheet Keep em stocked If the course has players on it, the Refreshment Stands should be open At times when stands are closed they should have some crackers, cookies or candy available. Maybe free or charge using chit.
17
Constructive Feedback Refreshment Stands Cont. The service could be improved as we have had to ask employees to not talk loudly while we are hitting. We just need to ensure that G2 is stocked and PBJs are always on hand. Let's not overcomplicate to please every single member, that's not a sustainable methodology. more variety Could probably offer a few healthy things like wraps or smoothies Stands are many times incredibly slow and cause pace of play problems. Should be double staffed at busy times Have workers that know how to speak English and make a drink quickly. This also helps pace of play. Can't tell you how many times at 11am the East stand was sold out of tuna wraps. Cant tell you how many times one of the workers has been visiting the toilet for an extended time during prime weekend times. Better structure, get away from the mini's, pour real drinks to save time. Would like to see a staple BCC sandwhich, easy, tasty, ready to go. More variety of sandwiches more variety Maybe have a online ordering device or via your cell phone at the 8th tee box under where the water bottles are held. Give people a chance to order in advance of teeing off 8 and give the half way house time to prepare the order to keep people from holding up on the 9th. Need to stay open longer for late afternoon / early evening events like the Tuesday Twilight. uncrustables where not fresh many times Would suggest having the staff trained on how to make simple drinks like transfusions. Had guest out a few weeks ago and we had an issue there. Slow service during high volume times, especially with only one person working Please put in a honor system cooler with beers on the 13th hole. Too far between Nine tee and the clubhouse to not be able to get a drink We need coolers attached to the carts the red coolers are worthless and waste a lot of ice Egg sandwiches, The cups of tuna/ck salad have been cut in half which is not good. crazy how many times they run out of stuff. seems like they run out of Gatorade flavors, sandwiches or uncrustables all the time. easy to re-stock restock during the day to ensure availability. Ability to order ahead. The staff in both stand is often on their phone when a group arrives. Some preemptive prep work can be done during breaks between groups, I.e. preparing salad cups. 18
Constructive Feedback Refreshment Stands Cont. A daily drink special, orbartenders seasonal , adds little funor! bars doing nothing and Put an actual server or bartender there. Oftentheme there's up at athe pool the halfway house is being serviced by an amateur. It slows down the pace and service. Also, there are often not enough cooler bags. Also, the chicken salad cups were so much smaller this year. Fill them like they used to and if you have to charge more fine. i think that having the staff mix cocktails would be a nice touch I think we should have coolers with the member codes like at RP so you could get refreshments when snack shop closed It would be great to pre-order (before the round or during tee-time booking) to speed up play. Add lowfat options..i.e. yogurt, ripened fruit, fruit salad, etc. Always have hot chocolate - many times it is not available on colder days Grab and go offering inconsistent if best. PBJ are great, but sporadically available. Keep it simple and fast. Salad cups are great but should be chopped lettuce and chopp d tomato option in it. It's impossible to eat with a fork with a whole huge piece of lettuce and a huge thick slice on tomato stuck on top. Some times the chicken/tuna/egg salads are not in grab and go containers. That would speed the pace of service if they were. I hate the water boxes. Either put the coolers back so I can refill my water bottle or use plastic bottles. the boxes don't fit in the cart and are awkward. I don't get the point of them. Have non alcoholic beer offerings at stands East stand needs to be mindful of folks teeing off and the level of their conversation. Frequent billing issues when purchasing food and beverage from The refreshment stand.
19
Positive Feedback Grill Stations Staff is great. Need more water stations in the course I like the stations. They are good Love it Fine. No changes. Excellent food. They are great!!! very nice touch and tasty Great service Keep up the good work
Constructive Feedback Grill Stations Grilling station on East hole 13 seems to be a bit late in round and Often, unused given players typically refuel at the ninth hole refreshment stand. Better location (should only be at turns) It was nice to have an extra option, but it would be better positioned on the 13th tee area, since we already have access to food and drink on 9. Change up Variety They were generally good. I used them when I was making the turn around lunchtime Should be open more often Have more availability hard to know when it is there. Rather have a carving station or something walk up at club house. The grilling stations are overkill and not sure we receive enough % of feedback from members to warrant them. Just keep the comfort stations stocked with sandwiches and PBJs and we'll be good. Italian sausages at a grilling station is such overkill. Need to make the servings easily consumed by walkers Easier to walk with food options Please add wine Keep it simple. Building a permanent structure there would be nice. Open air type of structure, nothing formal. Would be easy to set up during heavy play weeks to offer small food offerings and limited bar service. Thursday Friday Saturday only. Sunday's if a holiday weekend. The grilling station offering are too heavy for what I want to eat when playing which is why I do not use it. difficult to use when walking
20
Constructive Feedback Grill Stations Usually a challenge to use and still keep pace of play. many people walk so stopping to have a burger isn't very convenient and still move on with pace. The stands seem fine and do the trick ... the staff there are always terrific Order ahead function? Great options but I'm cheap and usually just get water. Nothing personal. Half way houses are great. Highly encourage us not to add or enhance to our existing half way houses. They are great as is! Based on what I can recall, when I could have used the grilling station, there was no notice (or I completely missed a notice) so I eat or used the refreshment stand ahead of the grill station. A solution for food on the weekends between 13 & 14 East would be nice. Have a morning email saying it will be there and what is available. There were times I ate not knowing it would be there. Items that are easier to hold for walkers. A lot of the items (French dip) are difficult to maintain Since you asked about the grilling station I'll say it strikes me as a hunt valley or third rate club effort to be hip with Myrtle beach vibe. Announce at half way house what is on the 13thgrill It takes too long for them to prepare the food and creates issues for pace of play. Also the food items were too big and/or messy to eat, if walking while playing golf. It is extremely slow getting food other than drinks. I only saw it once or twice. We used it once and it was great but had to eat sitting in our carts. Would prefer to eat at the club house.

Positive Feedback Caddie Experience Really strong Keep pushing forward w/ initiatives to increase caddie rounds I love our caddy program. I only wish that more people used caddies. Perhaps we should consider raising the cart price and using some of that increased cart revenue to offset the price of a youth/Evans caddie. Brett does a very good job organizing the caddies Don't use frequently but support the program I use caddies every weekend I play. I enjoy the young caddies. We are pushing the cost a bit high. The expectation to buy the caddie lunch and tip substantially is getting to a high threshold. I think the caddie committee should make firmer guidelines so that the process continues to be both affordable for the members and beneficial to the caddies. caddie performance generally commensurate with level; so great to have caddie, makes round so enjoyable to walk and gives more time to talk with friends Brett Keller is invaluable
22
Positive Feedback Caddie Experience Cont. Caddy program at BCC is strong, given the natural barriers, like carts... Excellent young men and women. I am always happy to use a newer/"B" caddie. I thought they were better trained this season and I always had one when requested. Overall they did a great job. Caddies were great, would love to see more First Tee kids out there Love the caddie program and all that Greg and Brett have done to make it happen. Brett does a fantastic job. Caddies are always high quality people and wonderful to be around ... most are very inexperienced but that is fine, supporting WGA is meaningful and special Love the juinor bag toters. the caddies are all great. Caddies are great, a lot of variety and options in terms of level of service and fees. Brett Keller has done a great job. The Evans caddies are amazing really enjoy this partnership. Brett and team do a great job Only used once, but they were great Caddies are great. Appreciate the effort to create a caddie program Phenomenal program Brett does a nice job of organizing the caddies. The young people whom I have had an opportunity to take on a round have been absolutely delightful, patient, and willing to learn. Great caddie system I don't take caddies often but the few times I did the experience was very good.
Constructive Feedback Caddie Experience There seems to be a barrier to entry on reserving because I don't have a clear place to understand the pricing and availability. We need a better, concise tutorial. create a website for reserving I have not had good experiences in the past with Caddies or toters at BCC.I do not want to pay for the expenses of a caddy while i can carry my own bag. Mostly, I prefer to be with my friends or family when I play golf. None were available. I tried twice. It seems most of the caddies are A or honor caddies and expect $150 / bag.. Many more members would utilize the program if we had more caddies less expensive rate. Before using a caddie we should be told what the caddie fee is going to be. Lack of effort, not cleaning clubs after use/waiting with us at tee instead of going down range to watch shots etc. Just not fully trained on greens too. So glad to see caddie rounds are up this year. It would be useful if it were easier to book a caddie, and especially if caddie class/experience could be known in advance. Members would also appreciate more clear guidance on tipping recommendations. I've had caddies who find $100 generous, and others who seem disappointed. need more bag carriers. I don't need a true caddie. I always take a caddy. Some caddies are listed as A caddies but act like bag totters. Dont do the extras. Less carts more walking I will add the the teenaged girls tend to lose their focus after 13 holes, so they need to dig a little deeper to finish strong. There should be a clear understanding of how much to pay each type / level of caddie (inclusive of a nice tip).
23
Constructive Feedback Caddie Experience Cont. Cost is relatively high given that this is my home course and I really dont need help reading greens, etc. Maybe a much lower price for just a bag toter would be a better option. only complaint is that they are getting really expensive. we are paying high school kids $125 or $150. just seems like that's a ton of moolah. I booked a caddy with Brett but did not get it one day. A stronger booking system would be better. Seems like more notice is needed for a B caddie. Also, base rates should be confirmed beforehand as some junior caddies "up" their status. I don't use them that often and only want a bag toter or B caddie when I do. There were a couple instances I didn't request a caddie but had one waiting when I got there, one instances I had called ahead that morning and said I didn't want a caddie. He was still there waiting and wouldn't get out if I didn't take him. I think it's confusing requesting a caddie - what level to request and what tip to give. Pricing can at times be widely misunderstood and miscommunicated. I experienced that this season. The caddy let me know that the pricing I was quoted by the staff was well under what he was to be paid, and while he would accept whatever I would offer, he was typically compensated meaningfully higher than what I had been told. I paid him the amount he told me he should receive and I didn't take a caddy again after that. I believe in the importance of taking a caddy; and I'm proud of BCC for the work it does to support caddies and the Evans Scholarship Program. That being said, I believe some members are intimidated by caddies; I believe some members are shamed by their peers for taking Rovers instead of caddies; I believe some members are confused about the pricing of caddies and embarrassed to ask for clarification; I believe some members view caddies as being too expensive; and I believe some members have no idea what a caddy does or how to experience the game alongside one. These and other disconnects frame a challenge that can be faced head-on in 2025 through some type of meaningful communication and engagement with the membership. Find it a little challenging to book caddies at certain times or whether to know for sure until you arrive whether or not you will have a caddie. Also, I think there should be more transparency on what is considered a good tip for the caddies. There is confusion among members on what the total payment should be.

Positive Feedback Additional Feedback BCC is first class and the best having moved out of state I miss BCC Top to bottom everything is great I love the West course. Golf experience at BCC is fantastic. I think the team does a great job. I look forward to next season. I want to give a special shout out to the jobs that Nick and Brent have done to add to the great experiences I have had at the club and on the golf course specifically. The staff is the best, Madie is so sweet and supportive to me as a new and below average golfer Merry Christmas to the Golf Team. Thank you for going from good to great. Nick has done a wonderful job in his new role. Staff is hard working, accommodating and professional Great job keeping the course if fantastic shape. The course maint. staff did a wonderful job. Overall awesome experience, BCC is phenomenal great experience; culture of staff & golf is remarkable! thank you! Great year! Thank you to all the committees and staff for making the golf experience so enjoyable. Love the golf experience, especially the staff. Nick has been a fantastic addition. Only criticism would be that he tends to be your bet friend when he is trying to sell you something. Overall my experience playing golf at BCC has been great. Courses conditions all year have been great. Proud to be a member Your team is amazing. You should be proud of the experience you deliver to our membership. Platinum experience. I think stepping in to a position that follows the likes of Greg Jones and his decades of experience and tenure at BCC can be quite an adjustment. I commend Nick for an excellent first season. Once he got his footing he did a great job. The golf staff seemed to work very well together and my events and rounds went smoothly. I do think that Golf Genius can be used even more effectively and I would support any training for any of the golf staff. An outside league that I am in uses GG for everything (Roster to playday scoring to results to registration with payment to reminder emails about any registrations I have made). Thanks to all for a very nice season. Great year, keep up the good work! I always feel welcome at BCC despite not getting there on a regular basis. Lessons with Cathy Kim were exceptional and new analysis equipment was very helpful. The golf staff is amazing. We have a fantastic team who are eager to help and please members and guests, as well as fun to be around. The golf area is my favorite place to be at the club. None, I love our club and am honored to be a member ... special shout out to Tim and the grounds team, absolutely amazing

Positive Feedback Additional Feedback Cont. The Junior program is thriving has never been better - kudos to Jake. BCC golf is amazing. the courses are perfect. the experience is perfect overall. minor tweaks can always happen, but it's great! Also, don't replace the grass - what a waste of time and money. Last August, the East course fairways were outstanding. Love BCC. Bob East Golf staff is top notch and enjoyable to be around. Overall the club is amazing , the team members go above and beyond every single day (truly impressive operation), if I ever come to bcc in a bad mood I always leave in a good mood. I will say the costs seem to be a little high in my personal opinion but I'm also cheap so take that with a grain of salt. Thank you for everything you do!
Constructive Feedback Additional Feedback Need to really look at cost factor per type of member per round on East Course It's ridiculous there are not water containers on the course. We bought water bottles from the club to fill them and there's only water boxes to fill them (which creates more waste!). Also, we should be cutting walking paths from tee to fairway. Why are we not promoting more walking and less carts on the east!! My complaints/concerns revolve around the condition of the East Course in particular. More often than not, our greens are slow. We can talk about fairway grass until the cows come home, but the greens are simply slower than they should be for an elite, championship golf course. I'm often apologizing to guests and saying, 'oh man, I wish you were here on Friday...' We need help figuring out how to make our greens FIRMER AND FASTER Pace of play by under skilled golfers on east is absolutely brutal. I find the family buddy and accompany fees to be very high for the value received. Which is what I rarely play This is an on going problem at BCC and that is course care. It never ceases to amaze me how many divots and ball marks go unrepaired on a consistent basis. Not sure if it's laziness, a lack of caring or if people think someone else should do it for them but it's a problem and has been for a long time. Not sure what changes the behavior but management in conjunction with the golf committee should come up with some creative ideas to affect change. Off my soapbox. Too often walking only on East 1. Practice facilities need a signifant upgrade. Range needs many more visible targets. Need a short game area. 2. Drink by chit on 13e would be ideal. Similar on 17e. On very busy days, we need more staff on the golf course monitoring pace of play. Especially the days when we have more guests on the golf course. Our staff is very service oriented. Our membership needs a better golf IQ when it comes to divot repair and ball marks. Pace is generally good but needs to be attended to for some people. Most of all, our golf culture needs to continue to focus on our history and our need to share this with younger members. Let' stay traditional. Let's not become the 'hip' place where anything goes. It's ok to be 'Old School'

Constructive Feedback Additional Feedback Cont. Members would love to see East play faster and firmer, and many would appreciate reduced cart usage. Can't wait for the new short game area. Focus on course conditions. The person to person experience is strong enough. The pro staff seemed detached this year, with very little interaction from the head pro and his staff. They were not rude, but not engaged either. It could be just growing pains from a new pro, who did not seem to be around very much, but it was clearly different. The teaching pro's were a bit aloof and the pro shop staff was the least friendly in the past 15 years. (Could be due to the high prices…do we really need $95 golf shirts?). please do not shut the course down again for a grass replacement The overall experience is great, but we need to be more willing to get the staff out on the golf course. I don't understand why we need 6 professionals roaming the clubhouse when the operations staff does most of the work anyway. My dream is for a professional to come and tend a flagstick and engage with us on the green, monitoring (discreetly) who is fixing pitch marks, etc. We also need to come up with a push cart program where we are not charged to bring them on the course. the rough was cut to a more favorable length of rough this year more favarable...cart path only seems to be overused when not always necessary Please dont price us out, It costs a lot to be a stay a golf member, please keep that in mind. Our fairway conditions i. The east course specifically are not up to par with other top clubs in the area. The look of the fairways are subpar when compared to other bent courses in our area." And have been this way for years. Additionally the course seems to play very soft most of the year even in prime times with very little rain. I play alot of other course in same geography and they have all figured it out so why not us? Emails are too vast. Would prefer a txt. There should be a specific golf Instagram for merchandise, tournament announcements that is run by the Director of Golf Would like more consistency with the golf professionals handling the women's golf programs. A 2 year term should be a minimum. It's a little difficult to get a tee time, particularly given the cost of membership. The Happometer has major flaws. I often get an email asking me to rate an experience when I was not even onsite the day in question. This causes me to wonder it I am getting 'handicap demerits' for not posting a score on days when I did not play any golf. I have now played 1215 golf courses. The best ones are firm and fast. BCC is firm and fast maybe two months during the season. The vast majority of the time we use to much water. The mid-Atlantic is tough in the summer. We were much better when we had limited sprinkler heads. Get rid of the paper water boxes and bring back water coolers. There is no way those things are better for the environment. Don't be afraid of a little dryness on the course. With the exception of hot days, I believe the course can stand to get a little hard and brown. The fall play was absolutely outstanding and the way they course was meant to play. I think it would be nice if the ball washers were returned to the tee box of every hole. Please consider installing greens / targets on the range that are visible from both ends of the range. from back range it's impossible to tell how far the bar is really traveling for any shots beyond 120 yards or so. 28
Constructive Feedback Additional Feedback Cont. Remove the noise making GPS monitoring system from the golf carts. Staff needs to clean out the push carts. There are too many Monday outings and I believe those events significantly impact the course itself since non-members inherently tend to care less about the course, especially when they are not playing with members. I absolutely love bcc and the east course. Almost all of the personnel are more than perfectt and do everything they possible can for members. I know the job is so hard and a lot of hours. I appreciate what Nick and don and Brent and Joe do to make my experience the best! Best courses, staff and faculties in the business. Upgrading the short game range work be beneficial, however besides that I feel all is perfect. Honored to be a member. Golf staff is great. Very friendly and helpful. Nick had a great first year in my view. The addition of Don is awesome. Their supporting staff does a very nice job. Nick and his staff do a great job. All things considered, extreme value derived from my membership. I'm very proud of our Golf Staff and the experience they deliver for our members and guests each and every day. What's more, I'm very grateful for the work of the Golf Committee and Greens Committee in service to our club's best interests. It's so often a thankless job and one that comes with a great deal of 'feedback' which might land too sharply at times. Golf and Greens Committees - and their respective Charis (Brett Chottiner & Pat Brady) - should smile knowing that their work is impactful and appreciated. The excellence found in meaningful partership between staff and committees continues to bear considerable fruit for Baltimore Country Club. Keep up the great work, everyone. You are truly the great people that make BCC a favorite place! We should always have the East course greens running fast like member / member and if that slows down play, then the staff can have slow groups skip holes. Can we have member member in Sept and not late October? We got lucky with the weather this year. Walking paths on east course should be reintroduced. Nowhere on this survey did you ask about Course Conditions. For the level of caliber that BCC strives to be, the course does conditions did not meet it this year. Fairways are way too spotty, I never once this year thought they were ideal, very inconsistent all year. Greens were OK, but overall not up to standards. I think maybe 2 times i played this year did I think the greens were 'perefct'. This all pertains to the East. The West has been good considering its not the gem of the club. The only area of the course that I think could use improvements is the amount of sand in the bunkers. There seems to be certain bunkers that get hit into often that become very thin. My suggestion is to replace sand in these few bunkers throughout the season to make them on par with all other bunkers. I believe the roll of the golf staff, including assistant professionals, is to be friendly and accommodating to the members. That being said I do feel there is a line. Being friendly with the members is fine, but when it turns into fraternizing with the members, which in turn leads to special accommodations and treatment, the line has been crossed How to feel like we don't need to make a Friday tee time a week in advance right when the tee sheet opens up... Guest fees should be cheaper for the first few guests of the year.

Constructive Feedback Additional Feedback Cont. A small fun treat at the halfway house like a small seasonal sip of a drink or bite of a slider. -We have a championship golf course that is RARELY in championship form. I am tired of the wet course, the different grasses and patches in the fairways. Its always an excuse too. This year I was told we cannot do anything about the patches until the club makes a decision on what grass they want. How is that an excuse? So, we treat the current course poorly? Yet when you go other places with a fraction of the budgets the courses are better. Really, really tired of the excuses.. The course is always being watered. We had a drought this fall and the course dried out and it was the greatest the course has played in my decade here.. And there are so many rumors about new grass. How about we keep the grass we have and try new methodology. We keep giving the same superintendant opportunities, and I understand the contract was just renewed. Perhaps have some focus groups planned with him to talk about the conditions of the course. There is no way that Greenspring and Rolling Road should be in better condition than BCC, yet, they regularly are. -The carton water bottles may have been a miss.. They don't stay cold and don't fit well in the bag slots. Also hard to drink out of. -The fact that we don't have walking paths is silly. We try to promote walking and caddies yet we do not have walking paths. This should be easy for a 5 star club that has a top 100 course. -Hot Breakfast - Offer a hot breakfast once a month on a Saturday, or have hot breakfast sandwiches available for purchase. -TEE TIMES - So often people grab tee times for prime weekday spots and have TBD and then the day of they cancel. There should be a penalty for this. There also should be a waitlist add for a certain tee time that you want so if someone cancels you get a notification that it is available. The way to do it now is you have to constantly check. -Consider rotatign guest days. Congressional does this. Make some days West course only if taking guests and some days East course only if taking guests.. Odd days of month west, even days east. -This box is a complaint/feedback box. But i do want to say thank you to Nick and his staff for all they do at BCC. As well as the folks that work hard in the early hours to prepare the course. While i complain about the conditions of the course (warranted considerign the investment we members make) that does not mean I don't appreciate the folks that work hard everyday.
As a new member, it has been extremely difficult to find consistent games on weekdays and weekends. i would kindly suggest that each new golf member sits down w a golf pro to assess which existing members or groups might be a good fit in terms of skill level, seriousness of play, enforcement of rules, etc. I still do not have a consistent group and this limited my rounds to a very low level More walking rovers would be nice. Also, get rid of the water boxes. They don't meet the needs of golfers (too small, awkwardly sized, still not recyclable, etc). Refill stations are a better alternative. Nick is trying hard and doing a good job he is just up against the reality that we have become a golf factory with too many rounds, low budget outings and a generally diminished golf experience. Pretend all you want,, this ain't the top golf experience you claim it is. I have been an inactive golf member at bcc for more than 30 years and I've been on the wait list to become an active golf member for a year. I'm told I have another 3 years on the wait list. You should give members who have been paying their dues for 30+ years priority to become an active golf member. Bag room service needs to improve after playing rounds on Saturday and Sunday morning and with guests on weekday afternoon play. Service is weak. This is suppose to be a survey about the golf experience not a quiz on golf course maintenance. I do not think the questions about divots repairs sis an appropriate place for such questions and may discourage people from completing the survey.
As a member of the 9 hole group, I think we need a female professional to head our program.
30
Constructive Feedback Additional Feedback Cont. BCC has shifted away from being a top tier country club.. With 1100 golf members and consistent Monday external outings, the country club 'feel' is dissipating. Please stop over-watering the course. It was embarrassing how soft and wet the course was at times Do not know many golfers at the Club. Unless i play with one of the men's groups (like with John Easton's set grouping) i usually play alone. Am hesitant to take up a tee time as a single. Perhaps the Club could be proactive in helping fill tee times where individuals looking for comparable players. I don't understand why we haven't fix the multi colored fairways from other grasses going through. There are applications available that we could use to fix this. Just seems like whenever I want to play, tee times are not available or some tournament is going on. And it always seems like I have to use the mats when I go to the driving range. Or, the driving range is not open.

Pool Rules - Swim Diapers: The new rule not allowing swim diapers in the main pool should be reversed. I have been a member over 27 years and all of my six children were able to use the pool with swim diapers without incident. It makes it too hard for a parent to have to be in two places at once with children of different ages and most other pools allow infants with swim diapers. The newly added rule of no swim diapers in the middle pool has caused a lot of frustration. This has not been the rule in the past, particularly when we decided to join. With a young baby now, we would like to be able to teach them to swim and get comfortable in deeper water, and now would be unable to do so. It would be very difficult to teach our child to safely swim if we are unable to use that pool. Also, with 2 children, which is very often the case at BCC, it is several years before children are fully potty trained. If you have 1 parent there, it would be impossible to have both children in the pool. This is very against the family aspect BCC has strived for and shown as a huge part of this club. While we understand the concern of potty accidents in the pool, this has been a long standing rule and is a very common rule at other pools. To make this significant change because of an incident this fall, with a rule established here years ago does not seem fair, and is a huge detriment to wanting our child to learn how to swim safely. We strongly ask if that rule can be reconsidered for the 2026 season I was so disappointed this season that my toddler was not allowed in the “family pool” since she is still in swim diapers. I do not know of another pool complex that has this rule. We are doing lessons with her and trying to get her used to going under and being in deeper water and this was so frustrating to not be able to practice especially for the price we pay. When we became members and when I was a member as a young child with my parents this was not a rule. The swim diaper issue is very important to me, my family and many other members. Please reconsider the swim diaper rule in the family pool for next year.
Other Rules I would love if there is a separate deep end test just for the family pool diving board. It could have a separate colored bracelet. Most kids just want to use the diving board and are able to swim the length of that pool. But the deep end test is very challenging
The "No Birthday Party" policy needs further explanation. I tell my kids they can't do pool birthday parties but then there are people that have pool birthday parties with assistance from the club. We also do see the occasional person smuggling in a birthday cake to the baby pool. Like what does it mean when it says "No Birthday Parties" does this only apply to some members and not all? The hat policy under the covered area of the patio. I think hats should be permitted in all areas of the pool complex. Hat hair to a teenage boy is equally traumatizing to hat hair to a middle-aged woman.
Guests Limit attendance on large holidays so it is not so overwhelming - Memorial Day and Labor Day Guests on holidays. This was actually a huge thing. The 4th of July does not need a guest policy. The only days that we should consider blocking guests are Labor Day and Memorial Day, even so its not popular. Maybe they can have surge pricing to deter too many from coming. Or surge pricing and limited passes so people book ahead of time. The pool staff does a great job! As a member who uses the pool when grandchildren come from out of town to visit, I think there should be a waived guest fee for grandchildren who live out of town. Happy to pay for the ones who live in town when they come as our guest. The pool staff was was kind enough to let me know that it would be more cost effective to pay the 200.00 2-week family guest fee as to signing in several grandchildren and their parents daily for a few days. Appreciated that!
Other How about staying open until 9:30 on Fridays in June? Enforce the dress code rules. As well as other etiquette rules. We are not Padonia pool. It may be difficult but it is important. PS. Changing babies on a dining table should not be allowed. Witnessed this 2x. No one did anything. And yes, staff saw it. There continues to be frequent issues with Dads bringing their young daughters into the Men's pool locker room. My husband and friends smoked a cigar in the corner of pool area and were asked to stop. It seemed a little stringent not to be able to do so outside during a party .
REGISTRATION & CHECK IN The pool Check-In Process is seamless and easy. The pool Guest Registration process is seamless and easy. The amenities provided at the Pool Complex meet my needs. The pool front desk staff is friendly and attentive.

Check-In Everything was great, there was only one tiny thing that came up with guest check-in. The form the guards use asks how many adult guests and child guests. It doesn't list the age of a child, the attendant wasn't certain, Vince confirmed it is 4 years old. The guest check-in sheet should read: guests 4&under for that category, I think child guest is too vague if you're charging differently. I bet alot of members checked in older children as the "child guest" no charge category. Make sure staff is always present. Several times they have been away from desk If you’re bringing a guest and doing lunch/ dinner up there, I don’t believe we should be charged for that.
Amenities: It would be nice to get a smaller basketball hoop for the tougher kids as most under ten cannot get it up to the big hoop. The basketball hoops seem to be different heights. Also, adjustable would be better for kids. Also, maybe have a net to prevent balls from going long Most if the time the ping pong balls and table were broken when trying to play with my son
There are still a lot of bugs and a need for bug spray which the front desk did not always have. A second basketball hoop in kids pool might be good
It would be nice if there were additional water coolers.
Towels New towels, longer towels for adults
Fall Opening It would be really nice if weekend hours were available through the month of September. Wish pool was open on weekends in September Why isn’t the pool staying open weekends in September? So bummed that policy changed back. September is a time people who travel in summer can actually use and enjoy it! Value rating would be higher if I had more opportunity to use it. Weather is so much better Sept than most of hot humid summer. Open play in the off season. My kids love going just to play on the playground/basketball court/etc. I know it may be a liability issue with the pool - but if possible it would be so fun to do pop up events there in the spring and fall. We go to eat at the main restaurant, but all the kids want to do is run around and go to the putting green. Which is fine!! But if possible it would be so fun to do more kid centered events on the weekends at the pool playground and greenspace. Then parents can eat in peace while the kids safely play within sight at the playground :) Would love to see fall events held at the pool complex as they were during covid with outdoor movies, fire pits, and more ways for families to connect through the beginning of the fall and enjoy some casual dining and social time. Stay open later in the year! We would love to hit the pool on Weekends through September Stay open through September! We absolutely love the full pool experience and it would be MUCH appreciated if the pool could stay open during weekends in September - closing Labor Day is just too early!
Separately, I would have loved for the pool to have stayed open for an extra weekend or two, especially considering June was so chilly, but I understand it’s tough with staffing. Looking forward to the fall events! Stay open through September! PLEASE consider staying open for at least one more weekend in September. We’d also love the ability to order food at the pool cafe on weekends through September. It’s so nice to allow the kids to run around in a more casual dining environment. The informal nature of dining at the pool and not worrying about disturbing older guests makes it much easier to dine with a toddler. Please stay open in September!
Other minor note- on quiet mornings before noon, it would be ideal if the music was not blasting. sometimes nice to just have it be a bit more relaxing. the music volume is highly variable.
FACILITIES & SAFETY 2025 2024 The BCC Pool Complex is a safe environment for swimming and recreation. The pool furniture condition (chaise lounge, umbrellas, chairs, etc.) meets my expectations. The lifeguards are attentive and focused. The (3) pools are kept clean and free of debris. The pool grounds are clean & manicured. The locker rooms are always clean and well stocked/maintained. The recreational facilities (volleyball, basketball, gaga ball) are well maintained and equipment is in good condition.

Locker Rooms & Bathrooms: By end of busy day locker room pretty messy Low toilet paper. Trash cans full. Only on crazy busy days. Otherwise great. the women's bathroom could use a few upgrades The men’s locker room and bathrooms are extremely dated and really should be renovated. The days of needing that number of lockers have long passed, so it’d be nice to see bathroom and showers modernized Women’s locker room is a little dated but very well stocked and clean.
Family bathrooms were not kept very clean in the beginning of the season, definitely needs to be checked on very frequently While the two family changing rooms are nicely appointed, the women's locker room could really use some updates. We have too few private changing rooms, the carpet feels dated / a little shabby, and the showers should be set up more like the women's showers in the main locker room with a small changing area, better curtains (the curtains are too short for their space and don't fully close, etc.
It would also make sense to have more amenities in the vanity area. Truly, I think that the women's locker room doesn't fit the level of finish of the rest of the pool complex and really should be updated and the layout changed to be more efficient with the huge space available to us there. The bathroom on the baby pool area is very hot. It also does get dirty at times but I understand how hard that is to maintain. Air conditioning in there would help a lot. Another stall would also help significantly. Sometimes at the end of the day the Ladies locker room was messy. The ladies room gets a bit messy at times mostly due to kids playing in there. Locker room could be cleaner especially later in the day. The showerheads are very weak and the experience, not memorable. No accoutrements in the restroom because of the kids. Locker room sanitation needs more attention. The ladies bathroom during high holidays and busy weekends (specifically the toilet stalls) becomes akin to Hershey Park. There is always a line, floor is wet and smells, there is no TP, little waste bins are over flowing, etc. In a perfect world there would be more than 2 toilets but on holidays especially they probably need to be checked every 90 minutes. Pool complex bathroom sinks do not have anywhere near the toiletry type amenities found in the golf locker room bathroom sink area. Would be great to have a swim suit dryer men's locker room needs more frequent clearing and offering hair and face toiletries should be considered--as was once offered. Let’s renovate the 1960’s era locker rooms The locker rooms are generally clean, but twice they were a mess. It was definitely kids who left clothes all over the place and weirdly food too. It is common to encounter young boys loitering in the men's/boy's locker room. There is no reason for a kid to come to the pool to just loiter in a locker room, and it can sometimes lead to theft or pranks, like opening every single locker which is very unsightly. If boys are opening every locker for fun there are opportunities for theft. There should be a rule that loitering the locker rooms is prohibited and pool staff needs to patrol the locker room frequently to send boys out and to shut open empty locker doors, etc. Kids who are frequently found loitering in the locker room should have their parents notified.
Lifeguards A few times this summer, based on the number of people in the family pool, I felt like a third lifeguard was needed. The lifeguard by the stairs is often watching young swimmers, and the second guard is watching the diving board, leaving the corner by the basketball hoop a little bit of a blind spot. It never felt unsafe just a suggestion for busier days.
Grounds Biggest thing to do is replace some of the smaller playground equipment in the baby pool area. Extremely aged and worn Changing the material of the sport court so kids can play on it barefoot would be good. I think painting it for pickleball could be good too. Maybe shrink the size of the sand area? I know the club is very aware but sometimes after very heavy rain, the drainage at the pool can be bad. I wonder if there is any improvement that can be make to drainage? I think they gave up power washing the patio in august. It was littered with spill stains.
Pool Furniture Tables next to chair sneed to be cleaned every day. They were getting moldy or had food/sticky stuff on them. Garbage under chairs. I would say the staff needs to do a better job at wiping off tables and cushions at the snack bar dining. Can we get the umbrellas that bend, so we can angle them depending on the sun? thanks It would be good to have more shade/umbrellas available. On busy days, a lot of chairs under umbrellas are claimed (a lot of times with bags and towels but no people) and a few times we’ve left early because there’s no shade available. Or on holidays/really busy days, require members to sign in/out chairs so that one person isn’t holding 4+ chairs for others that are coming later. Would love bigger umbrellas for the sunny days but otherwise great experience The biggest issue I consistently saw this summer was the table between the chaise lounges were not cleaned off frequently enough, sticky food and drink spills, attracting bees and just kinda gross. Cushioned chairs on patio always dirty and often people leave their trash here. Patio chairs and tables also sticky and not always given attention that may be required.
Pool Cleanliness Pool needs to be vacuumed more regularly. Pool temperature is consistently cold
AQUATICS PROGRAMMING 2025 2024 The registration process for swim lessons is easy. The availability of swimming lessons meets my expectations. The quantity of Pool Club Events & Programming meets my expectations (Pool Parties, Live Music, Special Nights). The variety and quantity of aquatic fitness programming meets my expectations. Programming/Events Junior lifeguard training would be a fun camp or clinic for kids to teach pool safety, learn about first aid, cpr, but also fun to sit in a lifeguard chair etc. Junior lifeguard training would be a fun camp or clinic for kids to teach pool safety, learn about first aid, cpr, but also fun to sit in a lifeguard chair etc. Maybe a teen golf and golf evening. More events for toddlers Would love to see fall events held at the pool complex as they were during covid with outdoor movies, fire pits, and more ways for families to connect through the beginning of the fall and enjoy some casual dining and social time. The Friday night buffets, while creative this year, sometimes were too adventurous for kids. There were chicken tenders, etc. available but sometimes they are interested in other things. Mexican night and other simple buffet themes would be well received for all. The buffet's were great - please take this as a very minor critique. Crab feast at the pool would be more family friendly than the clubhouse lawn. Music and DJs could be better We may have missed it but Bo loved the obstacle course events last year! We should have an adults swim meet with music and drinks and make it a fun event with relays and individual races while the on lookers taught, heckle, and cheer to their hearts' desires! Please keep the "Pool is Lava" theme. That is always a big hit. Bring back Hawaii night. Maybe a Maryland night.
More impromptu events like Christmas in July. Events that aren't a full buffet and party, but simply a fun activity or something different for kids.
Friday nights in June with live music. A guy with a guitar or steel drums, doesn't need to be fancy but there used to be more of that. Someone with a lacrosse club sports calendar should help pick the dates of the Friday Theme Nights. I think the dates could be more strategic and result in better attendance. More pizza nights. Outdoor movie night, Sound Bath- girls night Masters swimming in the morning Pool events seem to frequent. Prh consider less events and make events feel more special Don't need as many Friday night theme nights an adults only night at the pool would be fun. Would love to see more pizza nights at the pool - or the ability to order whole pizzas even if the buffet isn’t available. Loud live music or DJ music is usually a nuisance at events. It's not really necessary, and softer (but still fun) background music would be preferred. It's not as if people are dancing. For Pizza Nights it would be nice to have the option to purchase an entire pizza rather than the buffet. Honestly I don't need as any of the theme nights. I'm happy to come to the pool and enjoy the offerings that are there every time. I liked the pizza ights when you could order your own pizza vs buffet style . Just my preference. Would love to have burgers on the MDW & Labor Day buffets. The boardwalk theme buffet was really good, loved that one!
Events, another pool we belong to had a Dave Matthews cover band play at the pool on Sat or Sun night of Labor Day. It was extremely popular for many ages. Could be fun to do a weekend in June. Crabs at the pool. The last weekend the pool is open so the smell doesnt bother people. It was so good a few years ago. Casual, pool coverups, and kids can eat 2 crabs and then go play friends while parents can sit for awhile.
Aquatic Fitness I don’t really know about aquatic fitness but would be interested. Need to have water aerobics three times a week Tues to Thurs all summer. I am surprised there aren't more adult classes like power treading or water aerobics. I would go more aquatic programs if the water was warmer 84-85 and equipment was provided
Lap Swim I would like to see expanded hours for lap swimming only (8am?). I think it’s important to make sure that kids do not play in the lap lanes. They should remain open for adults and swim lessons. Early lap swim hours would be great. great lap lane pool; guards to to ensure others not swimming laps don't jump in lap lanes without looking Please leave at least one diving block on one of the swim lanes. My daughter likes to practice her starts and turns. Availability for lap swimming for adults in the morning before the pool opens (to allow for a workout before work hours).

Pool Café Cleanliness At pop up events the tablecloths can get SUPER dirty in between families. Maybe throw a bunch of table cloths on and any time one group is done with a table you could take one cloth off. Cushions need to be deep cleaned mid season, as well as chairs and tables power washed mid season Staff needs to be more aware of table turn over, so the next member has a clean table and cushions to sit on. Some of the green cushions routinely get sunscreen spots on them or looked a little dirty toward the end of the pool season. It would be great to have some alternate slip covers so the covers could be washed more often.
Menu Variety This year I feel like the food was not as good as previous years. It’s a pool cafe and I think the options don’t need to change or be fancy. I missed the taco salad and we liked the Tokyo drift sandwich then it was gone. Just feels best to keep it simple and good. It’s for kids and families, no need to complicate it Have had better food selection and menu in the past years. This year’s menu seemed dull and bland.
Would like to see some more variations of the menu throughout the summer. Loved the bowls, very good. bring back the original salmon bowl! Bring back the salmon onigiri bowl for the entire season! Don’t take it off the menu.. so good
Service Bring back the salmon onigiri bowl for the entire season! Don’t take it off the menu.. so good Service can be pretty slow It would be helpful if the servers would bring the ketchup caddies to the lounge chairs and offer fork and knife set even for sandwiches. Lots of their time is wasted running back and forth
It would be nice to have servers come by the chairs to take drink orders more often. on the weekends perhaps have more than one bartender able to jump in to keep the line from getting to 12+ people waiting.
The snack bar is average and needs to have attentive servers and not just self ordering, and improve its food offerings.
The bar can get a little slow as the crowd size can vary. Would like to see more servers circulating the pool chairs for food orders and drinks
Menu Requests/ Food Quality bring back the Cuban Sandwiches! thanks! Vegan options. BRING FRESH CUT FRIES TO THE POOL!!!! Its an easy thing to have like the main clubhouse and it adds SO much happiness to have good fries with your food!!
Maybe we can find a way to have members vote and resurrect old favorites on the pool menu because I hate when the pool cafe menu gets rid of my favorite item. Last year there were Korean BBQ slidersthey never made it to summer 2025. This year the Couscous salad was only here for July. My daughter was devastated when her salmon bowl was modified in August. My sister in law still talks about fish tacos from 3 summers ago.
Beverage Maybe a coffee bar?
There were requests for virgin kids drinks on theme nights. Like a $10 pina colada in a keepsake faux coconut cup with an umbrella on Hawaiin Night. Also, people liked the aluminum cups.
Other Would like to limit my children if possible. Keep cafe open in September
The pricing that seemed odd was the PBJ it was $10 in June, not sure if it changed in July and August. Rules for appropriate dress code like cover ups and shirts are NEVER followed and NEVER enforced. It is the 1 thing that separates us from public facility. Don’t let the 40 something’s gaslight this rule.

I saw more than once where lifeguards or Vince stepped in at the right time to help. Seconds count and they were amazing. Vince and his staff are terrific! Really enjoyed the pool this season. Thank you! Vince did a great job! Lifeguard rotation works well.. All in all the pool is well run . Vince and his team made a wonderful family atmosphere Maintaining and enhancing the very attractive and more elegant-nature of the pool usage and experience is important and positively sets BCC's pool much above those of comparable club pools and those standards should be diligently Honestly a great summer, loved the variety of events. The Labor Day event to end the season was wonderful. Thank you all for your hard work! Always had towels an available when I was there. Great season.
Aquatics Programming H2W sessions with Dolores Aaronson were fantastic. Dolores was amazing! Thank you for offering ISR this year. We enjoyed our experience with T. The girls loved their lessons this summer and absolutely gained confidence in
Pool Café Our whole family appreciates the effort of the staff to offer a vegan food option for the buffets. That's been a reason we have not signed up in the past. But now, the Love the buffets! The service was always fast and easy. The food quality is appropriate for pool Food is very good and multiple vegan options. Staff is great. Loved the Pool Cafe options! Staff was also great! We had an excellent experience at pool cafe every time, both eating at the pool The new menu items at the pool cafe - some more healthy options added - were The servers roaming the pool complex was more evident than summers past. The cocktail waitresses were awesome about constantly walking around to place Love the menu! The salads are especially wonderful. Menu was good this year The staff behind the bar are absolutely engaging. Wonderful, as always! quick and tasty. good value for the money. The special dishes were so good this year. The options are improving. Thank you. The salmon bowl and buffalo chicken salad are impossible to beat. Phenomenal poolside menu, service, and atmosphere. The new personal pizzas this year, they were different from years past, were a huge hit and I think the pricing for them was very fair. BCC does a great job hiring friendly cafe staff. The kids do a great job. The new bowls are delicious. I’d love a half bowl option. The new menu was a welcome change! The pool complex is lovely, I can’t think of any improvements to recommend. A
Facilities Everything was in good working order and always clean. The recreational equipment Safety is great. Now that our kids are older, we always feel comfortable having them play independently. Baseball backstop a nice add and got good use. The grounds are beautiful. Grounds crew does such a nice job. Turf, landscaping and flowers around the pool complex are beautiful. The couches and chairs are incredibly comfortable. I'd like to buy similar It seemed as though there were some drainage updates made over the offseason last year that improved the swampy situation on the grass in the seating areas in front of the While I did make some suggestions (and would be happy to get involved) for improvement, I thought the pool complex was amazing this year and we greatly appreciate the effort of the staff, lifeguards, and servers who made it such a wonderful
