Melville United FC is one of the most successful provincial football clubsinNewZealand,withahistoryextendingbackto1972.
OVERVIEW
It is the largest youth and senior club in Hamilton with a wide catchment across Hamilton and Waikato and a growing membership of 360 members in 2022, driven by focussed attention on youth and female development. The demographics are 30% female / 70% male, with50%under20, 30%between20 30,and 20%aged30+.
Melville United is celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2022 and has been basedatGowerParksince1981.
The Melville United Academy has grown from 32 players to 120 playersinsixyears.
Melville United teams participate in Northern Regional Football Leagues,WaiBOPFederationLeagues,andWaikatoLeagues.
The club has established MOUs with Northern United and Glenview United and has strong relationships with Hamilton Boys' High School, Melville High School, St Paul's Collegiate, and St Peters School (Cambridge).
