Eleven thousand plus feet at the peak. Four hundred inches of snowfall a year. Wide-open terrain capped by icy cornices shaped by howling winds. Mammoth. The name says it all—big and wild. For years we’ve been packing the truck, dipping out of work early and racing up 395 to spend countless hours adventuring in Mammoth. We’ve grown up here—fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. We were tested in Mammoth, cut our teeth for adventure here, and it’s been our proving grounds ever since.

Today’s Mammoth is the heart of melin’s mountain lab. In fierce winds, freezing rains and blinding snow, the Thermal collection was born. Each piece pushed to the limit—long hours in ever changing temperatures and weather experiences. Each piece put to the test by Mammoth locals, our design engineers, athletes, and Olympians.

And what did we learn?

We’ve learned premium materials matter. We hit a new mark for weather-proven durability. And we’ve come to know that comfort and performance go hand in hand on the road to adventuring better.

The melin Adventure Club was born out of our innate desire for constant exploration and the curated gear needed to help us have more fun. Many of these adventures start on Highway 395 as we approach Mammoth, Yosemite and the Eastern Sierras and some of our favorite spots to stop and relax are along this route. Many of our days, and nights for that matter, have been filled with good friends, cold drinks and hot spring water as we tell stories from the days’ activities. It’s less about where we ended up and more about the journey that’s built friendships, memories and adventures that we will hold close for years to come. This is the melin Adventure Club.
