Village Hall—Urgent Appeal

Meldreth Village Hall – Urgent Appeal

Some Meldreth residents may have forgotten, and our new residents may not be aware, that our Village Hall is looked after by a body of trustees. These trustees volunteer to manage the hall on behalf of all in Meldreth to ensure it is clean, tidy and available for the many activities and functions enjoyed there. We are urgently seeking further trustees to volunteer to keep this valuable village facility going. We need your help so, if you presently enjoy any of the village meetings and activities or the various clubs, classes, entertainment and fundraisers, not to mention the private functions, currently held in in the hall please consider joining us as a trustee. Volunteers may do as much and as little as they wish and we would welcome your input to provide for the future of the hall. We hope some of you will feel able to step forward and help us maintain and run this extremely important asset for the community, without whom the hall may have to close. We are in the process of renovating this wonderful communal place to ensure it remains an important hub for the village activities. Our present chairman, Mr Paul Ray, has decided to step down at the end of February after many years of enthusiastic, dedicated work and support. The trustees thank him on behalf of all Meldreth residents. We hope that 2022 will see the hall renovations completed and the number of trustees increase. We wish you all a very happy and peaceful New Year. Village Hall Trustees
