WHO WE ARE

Melbourne Dynamo FC First Team currently play in the Abacus Lightning Central Midlands Football League. We are a 3-star FA Accredited Club, with our junior section consisting of 17 boys teams and 7 girls teams. We also have a Soccer Schools programme for our youngest future stars and Walking Football for our over-55s. Our Home ground is the Melbourne Sporting Partnership where we provide our players, supporters & sponsors with incredible facilities.

HISTORY

Located on the border of three counties, Melbourne Dynamo FC traces its roots back to 1950. Shortly after World War II, an Eastern European club side toured the UK, playing a series of friendly matches against professional and amateur outfits across the country. That club was FC Dynamo Moscow. The then known, Melbourne FC, were just one of the clubs that pitted their wits against FC Dynamo Moscow. A year or so later, so folklore would have it, Melbourne FC became Melbourne Dynamo FC, and the all blue strip was adopted. In 2019, with the growth of women’s football, Melbourne Dynamo FC formed a sister teamMelbourne Wildcats - providing football for ladies of all ages in the local area,.
