He likes to stand on tall posts so he can see all his hens and watch for predators.

The Cuddler Chickens have more complex emotions than you may think! It’s proven that they want affection and how they seek it is different for each chicken. At night to stay warm and feel comforted, some chickens prefer to roost with many other chickens. They stack on top of one another or even use each other as pillows!

Chickens scratch at the ground until they dig up enough loose dirt to hide underground. These dust baths are the way chickens clean themselves or stay cool on summer days.

One of these rituals is running around until the rooster catches them!
