This year in the secondary chapel, we covered the heroes of the faith listed in Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “ confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see “ . We looked at the heroes of the faith from Abraham to Noah and Moses. We also covered encounters Jesus had with different people like tax collectors and fishermen. We learned to become like Jesus, and treat people how he treated them.

This year, in elementary, we looked at the Kings and the Prophets in the Old Testament. Through these chapels, we covered big questions like “What is God like?” , “Why can we trust God?” , and “Why should we obey God?” . We studied kings from Saul, David, and Solomon and learned from the words of the prophets like Elijah, Isaiah, and Jonah.

CHAPEL

The purpose of chapel is to give the students an opportunity to worship our amazing God and to learn from His Word. Mark 8:36 says, "What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?” Our life’s purpose is to live a life loving and serving our Creator. -Andy Roe, Chaplain

The worship team is led by Mr. Heisey and is a big part of the secondary chapel. There are three worship teams that learn music, practice playing together, and lead their fellow students in worship.
