Greetings,

This year will mark a significant milestone in the history of the Tallahassee (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (Florida’s first chapter), as in May 2026, we will mark the 75th Anniversary of our chapter. The theme for the 75th Anniversary is “Diamond Moments: Celebrating 75 Years of Friendship and Service.”

In the months leading up to the actual celebration in May, each chapter program will recap its rich history, underscoring 75 years in a significant way. A major part of our chapter’s programming has included the Beautillion.

Established in 2011 during our chapter’s 60th anniversary celebration, the Beautillion continues to serve as a meaningful platform to recognize and develop emerging leaders. The program includes months of structured educational sessions focused on leadership, character development, cultural pride, etiquette, communication, and essential life skills. For example, as a salute to our 75 years of service, this year Beaux, among other things, conducted a 75-minute clean-up of a park in Frenchtown and distributed 75 self-care products to the homeless. Through projects like these, our Beaux have grown individually and collectively, forming lasting bonds while preparing for future success.

We are proud to honor these exceptional young men for their achievements in academics, leadership, athletics, the arts, community service, and faith-based involvement. Their completion of the Links Beautillion curriculum reflects their readiness to be presented as gentlemen and as leaders of tomorrow.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the families, friends, businesses, and Attendants whose unwavering support has contributed to the success of the 15 Beaux presented this evening. We also commend the Beautillion Committee, led by Dr. Adriane Peters, along with our Link members and volunteers, for their commitment and countless hours of service. Your dedication of time, talent, and resources has made this Beautillion a memorable experience for all involved.

Congratulations to our outstanding Beaux, and thank you to everyone who has joined us in celebrating their accomplishments and supporting this impactful program.

Yours in Service,

Ms. Kimberly Hankerson, President

Unless They Are Prayed

Life without purpose is barren indeed.

There can’t be a har vest unless you plant seed. There can’t be attainment unless there’s a goal, And man’s but a robot unless there’s a soul.

If we send no ships out, no ships will come in. And unless there’s a contest, nobody can win. For games can’t be won unless they are played, And prayers can’t be answered unless they are prayed.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF YOUR PAPA EDDIE JACKSON (1937-2024)

Jerrlyne Jackson

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, B ut make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, O r being lied about, don’t deal in lies, O r being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream and not make dreams your master; If you can think and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and D isaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you ’ ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, O r watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’ em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long af ter they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the W ill which says to them: ‘ Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, O r walk with Kings nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can f ill the unforgiving minute W ith sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And which is more you’ll be a Man, my son!

THE ME A SURE OF A MAN

“What is the measure of a man? Is it strength? Intelligence? Or Fearlessness? The ability to lead others down the right path? The ability to inspire the seed of greatness in those who need encouragement? If the aforementioned are measuring tools, Then many live life as men.

Do you wear your love for God like shining armor? Is the love of God resting upon and guiding you?

No one can question your strength, intelligence or leadership. There are plaques and championships to prove the ability to lead. Measuring sticks the world uses to define a man. What can’t be measured is the soul of a man.

A man’s soul is the inward interpretation of his outer shell. May your soul catch fire.

The flames of decency, honor and integrity burning bright. Bright enough to light the way For hundreds of young men in the dark.

Bright enough to bring honor To a world forever changed by your presence. Bright enough to heat the souls of younger men you leave behind. The true measure of a man is the legacy he leaves.....”
