You see where this is going? Of course, we as an association continue to support our agents in their challenges and to help their story improve and we hope to win the game, property by property. We just came back from the California Realtors Meetings and they are continuing to contribute to our success both professionally and personally. We found a new task force has been appointed to spearhead Ethics and Professionalism, chaired by none other than Jim Hamilton who you met at our Installation coming last January. Hey, by the way, we are having a mock Grievance Committee hearing and a mock Professional Standards panel in December - check it out, good information and will be fun, too!!

Also, there were debates about MLS verbiage about short sale commissions and lockbox requirements. Most Federal and State Legislative issues were discussed at committee level and all were approved or shown to be “not real estate related” with a separate discussion about Proposition 31, which was eventually voted to be “not real estate related.” This caused me to look at this Proposition differently. There were lots of items from Transaction and Regulatory with one item, S3407 (Finestein) regarding Expanding Financing Opportunities-using GSE guarantee fee increases to subsidize nongovernment mortgages in FHA loans. It was voted not to support. I am off to National Association of Realtors in November as our Association has one Delegate vote on the main floor. More about that experience next time. However, the Association needs your support not just financially but in time and effort. Scott MacIntyre, current President Elect, will be asking for your time and effort on various committees that will continue to advocate and support our Strategic Plan. We are only as good as our members and we need your input and professionalism at all levels of the Association so that we can continue to be something great, THE DELTA FORCE.

Well – GO GIANTS!…..they just won the World Series and it is appropriate to honor their team spirit and dedication to the game…not so much the money or the glory or prestige. Those 25 players each had their moment to shine. It took all of them stepping up and stepping back at different times to make the appropriate and exciting plays to finally win all four games. Each of them have a story and challenges and yet they all worked together to achieve the win. It definitely was not about the money, it is all coming together to achieve something great.
