WELCOME TO THE FOURTH QUARTER! 2015 has really been a great year, and we are now entering the last quarter of the year. I have just a few months remaining as your President at Delta Association of REALTORS®, and I want to say that it has been a wonderful experience, full of hard work and tough decisions, as our industry is truly in a transformative cycle.

The way we access, use, and share data within the industry and with consumers is changing our business.

Pay attention and be informed. This is how we make our living.

Don’t be left behind; don’t leave it to others to do the advocacy work.

Support the DRCSF Rocktoberfest on October 17! The funds raised go toward high school scholarships and our food pantry donations this holiday season.

You can start bringing in canned goods to DAR starting now… WHY WAIT?! There are still a lot of people struggling locally who need our support more than ever. We pride ourselves on being community-focused, so let’s do that.

We all access education in different ways today from how we did ten years ago. I remember sitting in a classroomstyle setting with 50 or more people, and today we have a variety of ways we learn, including online and webinar style. Professional development is more important than ever, with constantly changing legal issues in real estate.

Please let us know how we can support you with education and professional development. We will bring you the classes you need, as we work with C.A.R. Education. I am completing a three-year appointment to the C.A.R. Educational Services Advisory; there is a lot of work going on to try to bring you the courses you want, in a setting that accomodates today’s working agents.

Thanks to all of you who participated in our oneday lockbox exchange.

Appointments are available until Oct. 12 for those of you who missed it, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. The new lockboxes are definitely much faster via Bluetooth, and as other boards throughout the Bay Area finish their exchanges, you’ll find these boxes become the standard.

When you come into the Association Office, please take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the terrific staff we have at D.A.R. At other Associations, you may get an automated attendant and have to dial 1 for this and 2 for that, during operating hours. Our staff answers the phones live, and handles your needs to the best of their abilities. We take a high volume of payments from members over the phone, though we offer online payment access.

This is a concierge level of service you won’t find at many other “boards.” There IS a difference, and our staff is loyal, longterm, and committed to member service.

We will have a very limited supply available for exchange at our office.

Once we run out, you cannot exchange your boxes at all. You will need to purchase new BT LE lockboxes at a charge of $125 each. We will only exchange boxes that are originated from Delta and are in our inventory.
