I hope you’ve had time to enjoy the weather, sell some houses in our everchanging market, and maybe even fit in some time off to recharge and rejuvenate! I want to let you know that Delta Association of REALTORS® has succeeded in meeting the NAR Core Standards Requirements! This is great news, and shows the strength and power of our Association. We may not be large but, we are mighty in providing a wide array of services to our membership. We will be increasing and improving our services going forward so that we can meet the challenges and serve the needs of our members. Please join us Thursday, August 20 from 5 to 7pm for the Elected Officials Reception at DAR. Food and drink will be served. Please contact Tonia@ deltaaor.com or 925.757.8283 to let us know you’re coming. Also, this October, the C.A.R. Fall meetings will be local for the first time in several years...in San Jose! I encourage you to join us for either Tech Tuesday or to visit the Expo on
Wednesday. A variety of free options are available, as well as classes for a fee. Committee meetings that are “open” to all are Thursday and Friday. Our Executive Director, Regional Chair, President-Elect and I had the privilege to attend C.A.R.’s “Strategic Thought Leadership” in Los Angeles at the end of July. Brad Inman spoke about industry “disruptors,” and Stefan Swanepoel presented a powerful data collection called “The Danger Report.” I encourage you to visit www.dangerreport.com and view or even download a free PDF of this material. It is great and truly thoughtprovoking. Our Association provides much value to your business, but we can add more with your input and participation. We need more volunteers to assist us with ensuring we bring you the best and timeliest of tools. We invite your feedback and sharing of ideas or needs.
