We are all hoping the rainy season isn’t over just yet. Gee, when did it start anyway? It is now impossible to catch up on the water we need. Our East County environment is feeling the pinch as our local farmers have to plant crops with water availability, management and costs an even bigger consideration. Droughts aren’t any fun. Does anyone remember the brick in the toilet tank as a water saving measure? I recall the drought years of the mid-seventies in Nevada County where I lived at the time. We watched the water levels in the reservoirs fall lower and lower. The only smile it brought to my face was what became visible in the reservoirs as the water dropped. A few old cars; I mean old, like 1920s models that had been underwater for many decades. Also, old stone lined walls and wagon roads that were reportedly built by Chinese labor during the mining hey days of the gold rush. It did bring you closer to the local history. Oh well, back to reality. Pray for rain before summer sets in. We need it. 2 www.deltaaor.com

LEGISLATIVE DAY IN SACRAMENTO WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30… Plan now to attend Legislative Day in Sacramento at the end of this month. It is an all-day event wherein we get some quality time with our state politicians. Legislative Days brings Realtors from all over the state to Sacramento. This California Association of Realtors event is a tremendous opportunity to hear from our state legislators, first hand, about issue affecting our east county communities. There will be transportation provided at no cost. Lunch will also be provided at no cost. Legislative Day is a day well spent. No doubt we will fill the bus for the drive up and back. So you won’t even have to drive. This has been a very popular annual event. Look for signup sheet elsewhere in this issue of the Delta Currents. In the meantime, go out and list some property. Inventory is low.
