Accessibility Information

Scent-free Location

We encourage attendees to avoid wearing scented fragrances such as perfume, cologne, essential oils, and any strongly scented personal care products such as scented deodorant Also consider wearing clothing not washed with scented dryer sheets or scented laundry detergents This supports conference attendees who have immediate reactions to fragrance due to allergies or sensitivities

Masks are encouraged

We encourage attendees to wearface masks forpublic health safety, but do not require them. Some workshop preseters may request their workshop participants to wear a mask, so there will be masks available at the entrance to the workshop There will also be masks available at registration

Food

Appetizers will be provided on Friday evening and snacks, coffee, tea and lunch will be provided on Saturday, May 10th There will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options There is a full kitchen with a microwave in the basement of the library across from Founder’s Hall that attendees can access. You will need to connect with someone at registration to access the key with school staff to utilize it Saturday’s menu includes:

- Mixed Greens Salad with light vinaigrette (vegan, gf)

- Herbed New Potatoes (vegan, gf)

- Green Beans (vegan, gf)

- Herbed Roasted Boneless Chicken Thighs

- Mediterranean Couscous

Building Information

The building has three stories with two sets of stairs going up to each floor and an elevator The elevator is located near registration and can comfortably fit 3-4 larger mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, powerchairs, and rollators and their users All signage in the building is clearly labeled at a height easy to read for wheelchair users, and is high contrast and has braille.

The venue entrance includes an ADA compliant ramp located near the conference’s accessible parking location between the Library and Founders Hall A volunteer will be available to guide attendees to accessible parking with 6 feet between parking spots, as the school does not have designated, labeled, ADA parking Sidewalks and road pavement are smooth with minimal potholes There is plenty of outdoor lawn space for service animals to relief themselves

There is a gender neutral bathroom, and all bathrooms have an accessible stall

In case of an emergency

The nearest emergency room is Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital, 447 N Main St, Pittsfield, ME 04967, which is a 5 minute car ride from the campus The nearest pharmacy is Walgreens Pharmacy, 420 Somerset Ave, Pittsfield, ME 04967, which is a 4 minute car ride from the campus
