A special thank you from Chris Milby’s family.
Carolina Healthcare System Emergency Departments are no longer providing a paper version of the PCS Medical Necessity Form to our crews, when transporting a NET patient. CHS ED staff will be filling out the document online. Shortly thereafter, Med Center Air will fax it directly to CMED. The paper copy is no longer needed, unless specifically ask for by CMED. If you are provided a paper copy, please turn it in at the end of your shift; along with any patient demographic sheets. Please place all paperwork in it’s appropriate location at the OA desk. As always, any documents with patient information should be handled in compliance with HIPPA regulations. If you have any questions about NET transport procedures, please contact Jamie Stanford at Jamies@medic911.com.

As previously noted, the latest Performance Pay Tracking Period began on July 1st. We are striving to meet the Patient Satisfaction goal of a ≥ 65% rating (experience as “Excellent”). In order to create a comfortable margin of performance, while continuing to improve the patient experience, we would like to share some feedback from recent patient focus groups. The two areas that patients value the most are: 1. Communication from the treating crew: “Explain treatment options and procedures” “Provide reassurance and compassionate communication with the patient” 2. Setting clear expectations: “Set transport length expectation” “Set a triage level expectation before arriving at the hospital”
