The latest Performance Pay Tracking Period began on July 1. We are striving to meet the Patient Satisfaction goal of a ≥ 50% rating (experience as “Excellent”). In order to create a comfortable margin of performance, while continuing to improve the patient experience, we would like to share some feedback from recent patient focus groups. The two areas that patients value the most are: 1. Communication from the treating crew: “Explain treatment options and procedures” “Provide reassurance and compassionate communication with the patient” 2. Setting clear expectations: “Set transport length expectation” “Set a triage level expectation before arriving at the hospital”

Logistics Update - IV Catheter and Syringe Kits In an effort to improve the workflows in logistics, we recently asked for your opinions on a couple items. One such item includes exploring ways to better stock the IV catheters in the “high use bins. We found that the current method of putting catheters bunches in rubber bands was causing significant damage to the wrappers. In order to resolve this issue, Logistics researched several storage options. We then asked for your opinion on which would impact your work the least. Here are the results: 1. Between A and B shifts, we received a total of 119 responses. 2. The overwhelming majority selected a hard-sided box as the ultimate storage option (99 total votes). Next, different box styles and content options were surveyed. 1. In yet another overwhelming vote, 116 employees selected the box containing all catheters, needles, and syringes (out of a total of 123 votes). Small scale field tests are currently underway with the selected storage box/contents configuration. If testing is successful, Logistics will present the option to the Lead Team. If approved, we will implement the changes in the near future. This has been yet another example of how your feedback has brought about positive change and improvement in our Agency. For more information, email Patrick Crane at patrickc@medic911.com Thank you for your participation!
