GREAT NEWS!... On Wednesday, 7/20/2016, parking curbside, along Crosspoint Center Lane is Medic’s, new Overflow Lot. Please take a few minutes to review the following information: • Above is a map of the street. Please note the following color codes: 1. Please attempt to avoid parking in the ORANGE areas, if possible. It will make it easier for our neighbors’ vehicles to navigate the areas. 2. GREEN is good to go. 3. Parking in RED areas is completely forbidden. • This will open an additional 72 spaces for overflow parking (tallying GREEN spaces only). • Please remember this is a public street. We do not have exclusive rights to these spaces. There will be other vehicles parked in these areas from time to time. • Please utilize extra caution when entering and exiting your vehicle, while parked on the street. Make sure to follow standard safety precautions.

• Don’t leave valuables in view, lock your doors and secure your windows. • Finally, Administration staff, this is the new “Overflow Lot”. Please remember to reserve the parking spots (inside the fence) for employees that work into the evening and during the overnight shifts. Patrick thanks everyone for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Patrick Crane at patrickc@medic911.com.
As previously noted, the latest Performance Pay Tracking Period began on March 1st. We are striving to meet the Patient Satisfaction goal of a ≥ 65% rating (experience as “Excellent”). In order to create a comfortable margin of performance, while continuing to improve the patient experience, we would like to share some feedback from recent patient focus groups. The two areas that patients value the most are: 1. Communication from the treating crew: “Explain treatment options and procedures” “Provide reassurance and compassionate communication with the patient”

2. Setting clear expectations: “Set transport length expectation” “Set a triage level expectation before arriving at the hospital”

Medic continues to support and promote smoking cessation with CIGNA assistance programs. This serves as a reminder that CIGNA now provides coverage for tobacco cessation prescribed medications as well as availability to the Lifestyle Management Wellness Program offerings.
Lifestyle Management Program Whether you’re looking for help with weight, tobacco or stress management, our lifestyle Management Programs are here for you. Each program is easy to use, available where and where you need it; and is always at no cost to you. 1.866.417.7848 - myCigna.com
Please be mindful that all Mecklenburg County spaces (to include Post 100 and all Medic posts) continue to remain tobacco free areas. If you are on the quest for cessation, be conscious of product litter in both private and public areas outside of these tobacco free zones. In particular, complaints have been brought forth regarding excessive cigarette butt litter in the space between headquarters and the convenience store. Be respectful of yourself, others and the environment by putting tobacco product litter in proper receptacles and avoid throwing debris on the ground. Please contact Linda Hendley at lindah@medic911.com for more info.
