As previously noted, the latest Performance Pay Tracking Period began on March1st. We are striving to meet the Patient Satisfaction goal of a ≥ 68% rating (experience as “Excellent”).

In order to create a comfortable margin of performance, while continuing to improve the patient experience, we would like to share some feedback from recent patient focus groups.

The two areas that patients value the most are: 1. Communication from the treating crew: “Explain treatment options and procedures” “Provide reassurance and compassionate communication with the patient” 2. Setting clear expectations: “Set transport length expectation” “Set a triage level expectation before arriving at the hospital”

CUCUMBER BOATS [naturally gluten + dairy free] Ingredients: • 1 cucumber • 2-3 TB clean hummus [note: read the ingredient label. You should recognize ALL of the ingredients, and some brands I’ve seen come nowhere close to a real food] • 4 baby tomatoes, sliced • Arugula (optional) Other great add-ins to customize your snack boats: arugula, shredded carrots, kalamata olives, chopped celery, roasted red peppers, pine nuts. Mashed avocado would also make a great filling, as would babaganoush and other healthy spreads.

Directions: Peel cucumber and slice off the ends. With a spoon, scoop out the seeds and discard. Spread a bit of hummus inside, add your tomatoes and arugula (or other toppings). Sprinkle with pepper. Smile. You’re done. Healthy food in less than 2 minutes.
