The latest Performance Pay Tracking Period began on Nov. 1. We are striving to meet the Patient Satisfaction goal of a ≥ 50% rating (experience as “Excellent”). In order to create a comfortable margin of performance, while continuing to improve the patient experience, we would like to share some feedback from recent patient focus groups. The two areas that patients value the most are: 1. Communication from the treating crew: “Explain treatment options and procedures” “Provide reassurance and compassionate communication with the patient” 2. Setting clear expectations: “Set transport length expectation” “Set a triage level expectation before arriving at the hospital”

On a lovely Charlotte Day, not so long ago, one of Medic’s new hires, EMTs, Matt McPherson and Molly Malinowski were on standby when a local resident came up and let them play with her puppies. Even puppies need the ultimate compassionate care from our crews.
Thank you to the students at Victory Christian Center School for their compassionate spirit and generosity. They made “thank you” cards and dropped off delicious donuts for Medic employees. “Time to readSEPTEMBER them while on the 2014 treadmill!!!”, exclaims Lester Oliva. Promotion Announcement
It is with pleasure that I announce the promotion of Jamie Stanford to the position of Operations Manager (Field Non-Emergency). Jamie brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Since, July 2011, Jamie served as an Operations Supervisor for the Non-Emergency Transport teams. For four years prior to that, she served as a NET Expediter/NET Specialist responsible for non-emergency patient scheduling, daily flow of the NET program and liaison with the hospitals and partner facilities. Jamie is a certified paramedic and has been with Medic since 1999. Prior to joining Medic, Jamie served as an EMT/Billing Specialist with Char-Meck/AMR Ambulance Service here in Charlotte. Jamie has a passion for the patients we serve and for the outstanding teams of EMTs and Paramedics who focus on the Agency’s Non-Emergency Transport program every day. Through her leadership, I have no doubt that our NET program will continue to grow even stronger in the years to come. Please join me in congratulating Jamie on her promotion to Operations Manager.
