Dear Florida Sunshine Cup XI Participants: On behalf of the tournament committee, and the board of directors, I am pleased to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to South Florida for Sunshine Cup XI. After a two year pause, we are looking forward to getting back to what we love: competing, connecting, and uniting both on and off of the field. We are excited to reunite with old friends, and make new ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime! This Sunshine Cup is our biggest to date, and we are pleased to welcome 32 teams, 22 open division teams, and 10 women’s division teams. We are excited for all of our teams, including our long standing returning teams such as New York and Motor City, amongst others, as well as to welcome some new teams, including Denver Summit and Atlanta Rise, amongst others! We have a fun filled weekend planned for you, with events taking place from ThursdaySunday night at many of our local community sponsor bars! We encourage all of you to attend the events, as our sponsors are a big part of what makes our league what it has grown into today. Game play will take place on Saturday and Sunday, at Central Broward Regional Park. We will also have on-site food and beverage options at the fields both days for players and spectators. I encourage you to make the most of your weekend! I am looking forward to seeing many familiar faces, as well as many new faces! Should you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to say “Hi!” Please feel free to reach out to me directly!

In celebrating the 15th season of the Soulh Florida Flag Football League (SFFFL), greater Fort Lauderdale is thrilled lo be hosting the league and would like to thank the Board of Directors for bringing the 11th Sunshine Cup lo our community! After years of continuous athletic excellence and membership growth, the South Florida Flag Football League has been thrilling fans across the region as the premiere LGBTQ+ Flag Football organization of the tri-county area and is a proud member of the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL). And this year, they are proud to be celebrating the Sunshine Cup's 11th season by welcoming 30 teams from across the State! This tournament features both Open and Women's Divisions, on-site food and vendors, multiple social events and there are plenty of chances for everyone lo compete, connect and unite regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We know you'll have a great lime playing flag football here, and we hope you also enjoy the warm weather, our beautiful beaches, and our thriving LGBTQ+ businesses! Thanks to the Board of Directors and the league for setting the bar of sportsmanship and in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. My congratulations and have a great game!
