WELCOME TO THE GAY SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES

Welcome NAGAAA Softball The 2019 Gay Softball World Series Committee would like to welcome you to Kansas City and invite you to Come to Play on and off the field. For the last two years we have been working hard to ensure that you have a fantastic time in our parks, hotels, and events. With a record number of teams, we have three premier field complexes that will support max performance in every game. Championship Saturday will be at Frank White Softball Complex in Lee’s Summit with beautiful views of Longview Lake.

A memorable week awaits you with events every night. Our Opening Night Party at Power and Light will offer a great place to say hello to old friends and meet new ones. The Hall of Fame dinner will be an interactive experience that will join two great Halls of Fame and honor the people that have championed the mission of NAGAAA. Our hometown baseball team, The Kansas City Royals, is supporting our event with their First Official Pride Night on Wednesday with a tailgate KC style, with plenty of BBQ, Miller Light and Smirnoff Vodka. Thursday, we encourage you to attend Sip and Shop at Hall’s Department Store in Crown Center, then continue with a team bonding at one of our 12 sponsor restaurants and end the night at your host bar. Let’s keep the party week going on Friday with our original take on the traditional Charity Night. This rave style party will bring all the diversity of the series and Kansas City together with an epic party that you don’t want to miss. In addition to revelry, this party will support the Greater KC AIDS Service Foundation that nobly works to raise money and awareness for organizations that provide shelter, medical care and emergency services for more than 5,700 men, women and children in Kansas City affected by HIV/AIDS. To end the week, closing ceremonies will bring us all together one last night. When you aren’t playing at the fields or getting your party on, we encourage you to support our sponsor bars and restaurants. Let’s party, listen to some great music, enjoy the sportsmanship and celebrate why we all Come to Play.

In closing, I want to recognize the incredible 2019 Gay Softball World Series directors, committees, volunteers and sponsors. Thousands of volunteer hours have made this all possible and they deserve thousands of high-fives. We are a proud community built on hospitality and generosity and Kansas City will show you why you Come to Play; you’ll rally to come back and see us again.
