■ FIVE new positive COVID-19 cases mean that new restrictions came into effect at 6pm Tuesday (May 25). Private gatherings are limited to five visitors a day; public gatherings are restricted to 30 people. Face masks must be worn indoors including in shopping centres and workplaces. Two men in their 30s and 70s, a woman in her 30s and a pre-schooler, all in the City of Whittlesea, have been confirmed as cases. A man in his 60s was the fifth case announced yesterday (Tue.). incorrect supermarket in Epping was identified as a public exposure site. “Our investigations reveal the individual shopped at the Woolworths Epping North supermarket, corner Epping Rd and Lyndarum Drive (2 Lyndarum Drive), from 5.40pm to 6.38pm on Saturday, May 8,” said Professor Brett Sutton. “The original exposure site was Woolworths Epping, corner of Cooper and High St s, Epping, on May 8 – a location which is adjacent to other exposure sites.
