WARRANT AT BANGHOLME
■ THREE people were arrested when investigators executed search warrants at a business in Paul Ct, Dandenong, and a residential address is Bangholme Rd, Bangholme. Two men and a woman were arrested during the operation with multiple items rebirthed vehicles seized. Items seized included: ■ eight stolen motor vehicles being • Three VW Tiguans, • Two Ford Rangers, • Two BMWs, and • A Mitsubishi ASX. • A suspected stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle, ■ Vehicle logbooks, ■ Various stolen and cloned registration plates, and ■ A quantity of drugs. A 41-year-old Dandenong man was charged with committing indictable offences on bail, drug, theft and fraud offences relating to 11 motor vehicles valued at approximately $600,000. bA 30-year-old Dandenong woman has been charged with drug, theft and fraud offences relating to nine motor vehicles. A 65-year-old man from Bangholme was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
Medal returned after bayside discovery ● A World War I British victory medal lost at Chelsea Beach in 1925, and found at Beaumaris in 1980, has been returned the recipient’s family by a Lilydale policeman. The medal has gone on display at the Upwey-Tecoma subbranch of the RSL. Sergeant Vaughan Atherton from Lilydale Police discovered that the medal recipient was Fitzroy-born Private Robert Stanley Gordon Smith of the 5th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force. 8 stolen vehicles seized
Struck by car
■ Prahran Highway Patrol officers are investigating after pedestrians were struck by a car in St Kilda on Sunday night (Apr.25). Police responded to reports two males had been struck by a vehicle on The Esplanade just after 8pm. The driver of the BMW stopped at the scene and assisted police. The driver, a man aged in his 30s, ill be charged on summons with various traffic offences.
