DENDY PARK SAFETY QUESTIONED

■ BRIGHTON MLA James Newbury has questioned the safety of Dendy Park. He asked questions in State Parliament, following the sexual assault of a young girl at the park in East Brighton. “Two weeks ago a 16-yearold girl was sexually assaulted in Dendy Park. For background, despite the violent nature of the crime and the park being a community hub, Victoria Police did not notify the community of the assault,” Mr Newbury told Parliament. “Many local parents became aware of the crime through word of mouth. It has left many cin my community terrified.” More on Page 3
