■ Air Wing and Police uniform officers were instrumental in locating and arresting seven people after cars were stolen.

Investigators responded to reports of a silver BMW X5 and a red MG Hatch suspiciously parked in a Cheltenham Rd carpark in Keysborough about 9.50pm on Tuesday (July 10).

Air Wing officers, who were overhead at the time, observed the vehicles take off in different directions.

It is believed that the MG Hatch was stolen from a Clarendon St residence in Thornbury on July 5, while the BMW X5 was stolen from Railway Pde, Briar Hill on July 4.

Air Wing followed the MG Hatch to Thames Promenade in Chelsea Heights, where a cordon was successfully set-up by officers on the ground.

After pulling the MG hatch over, officers swiftly arrested two teenagers and a woman while a fourth teen attempted to flee.

With assistance from the Dog Squad , the fourth teenager was arrested on the corner of Thames Prom. and Third Avenue shortly after.

Meanwhile, the BMW X5 was followed by Air Wing through Moorabbin to Prahran ,

The man moved throughout the village before walking upstairs to a bin room where the victim followed him to determine why he was in the building.

Police were told once the man was inside, he grabbed the victim on her upper arms before punching her several times to her head and upper body area.

The man then fled the premises through the Wells Rd exit.

The 27-year-old victim sustained bruising and scratches.

The man is perceived to be Asian in appearance, aged in his late 20s and spoke with an accent.
