Dand. cops arrest burg. pair

Unit detectives have charged two people following a burglary in Mount Waverley on Monday, July 10

Police responded to reports of a burglary at a commercial business on Gilby Rd about 4.10am.

An allegedly stolen white Mitsubishi Express van was seen driving away from the premises.

With assistance from the Air Wing, the car was followed through Burwood, Surrey Hills, Camberwell, Nunawading, Box Hill North, Blackburn North and Ringwood.

It came to a stop on Ringwood St in Ringwood where officers arrested a man and a woman.

The pair were bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on October 30.

Grants open

■ Grants are open to applicants for projects that align to Mornington Peninsula Shire Council’s Wellbeing Plan’s three-key themes.

Invited to apply are community groups, organisations, businesses and sole traders. Projects are also sought for history, arts and culture, performing arts development, community events, festivals, as well as local area community capital infrastructure projects that improve the natural, built environments, with a range of options for three years of funding for sponsorships.

Mornington Peninsula Shire has launched a bew public elec tric vehicle charging station in Flinders. Located in the roadside car bays outside Wood St shopping centre, this fast charger can charge a standard EV from zero to approximately 80 perf cent charge within an hour. Fully funded through the State Government’s Destination Charging Across Victoria grant program and Evie Networks, this most recent charging station will help to expand the Peninsula’s electric vehicle charging network. A Council representative says it will also help to promote EV uptake within the community.

■ Fail to stop on police direction

■ Dangerous driving whilst pursued by police

A 31-year-old Sandringham woman has been charged with:

It is designed to showcase the specialty continental delicatessens and bakeries, and to bring new tastes of Europe to the Market.
