■ Greater Dandenong Council has received 162 objections to Progress Earth Pty Ltd’s application for a renewable energy facility at Springvale South. The solar energy facility is proposed for No. 66-88, 98-100 and 168-222 Clarke Road, Springvale South. The plan, originally proposed in December 2018, wasw scheduled to be considered at Monday night’s Council meeting as we went to press.

■ MORNINGTON Peninsula property owner Steve Vizard was re-circulating publicity at the weekend that labels Hillview Quarries application for a new quarry at Arthurs Seat as “breathtaking hypocrisy”. Mr Vizard re-tweeted an article by Pro-Bono News journalist Luke Michael that reports on the Quarry owner, Ross Trust, seeking State Government approval for the quarry.

Submission lost at Casey

■ Casey Chief Administrator Noelene Duff has told resident Brendan Browne that she is sorry that his detailed submission against a five-storey development at Hampton Park was lost by the Council in 2018, due to “an administrative error”. Ms Duff said that the previously that the previously adopted plan did not have any maximum building heights.
