■ Mill Park Serious Crime Taskforce detectives are appealing for witnesses following a firearms incident in Rosanna.

It is understood a man attended a property on Interlaken Parade and turned off the power about 9.20pm on December 21.

A male occupant of the house confronted the man when he went outside to switch the power back on.

Police were told the man fired two shots before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim’s pregnant wife, young daughter and mother-in-law were inside the property at the time of the incident.

✖Greensborough Highway Patrol are investigating a single vehicle crash in Thomastown. It is believed a white Mitsubishi van was travelling north on Edgars Rd just after 5.30pm on Friday (Feb. 3) when the driver lost control. The van left the road and struck a tree in the centre median strip. The driver, a 40-year-old Mickleham woman, was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition. A 40-year-old male passenger was also taken to hospital and is in a stable condition. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined at this stage.

✔Nillumbik Council has officially flicked the switch on the lighting upgrade at Diamond Creek Netball Courts. Mayor Cr Ben Ramcharan and Councillors joined Eltham MLA Vicki Ward and members of the Nillumbik Force Netball Association for the official launch of the lighting upgrade at the courts in Diamond Creek. Cr Ramcharan said the $330,000 LED lighting upgrade would provide brighter lighting for games and training that is more energy efficient. “The Diamond Creek Netball Courts are now a premier sporting destination in Melbourne’s north. The lighting upgrade builds on the significant investment by both Council and the Victorian Government.”

?Craig Lloyd, the $370,000-a-year City of Whittlesea CEO, has a parttime job as a country music artist. He was due to perform last Saturday afternoon (Feb. 4) at the Whittlesea Country Music Festival held at Walker Reserve. Lloyd also performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at venues including the Post Office Hotel and the Oasis Hotel. His song, ‘Take The Wheel’, took out the Award for Country Ballad of the Year at the Tamworth Songwriters Association Award. He says it was co-written with Kinglake-based Carter and Carter (Merelyn and David)

It is believed the same man attended the property the previous day and turned off the power about 9.20pm on December 20.

Police believe the man is not known to the occupants of the house.

No-one was physically injured during the incidents.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believed can assist in their investigations.

The man is described as having a medium build and was wearing a hi-vis jacket, glasses and a hat.
