We create. We test ourselves and ideas. To create is to say, I think this is interesting. And if it’s commercial, I really hope you do too.
It’s deep in the soul of creators to have their creativity tested. To put their thinking forward and have others interpret as they will.

Novelist, The Gay Street Chronicles
William "Bill" Keeling is a former foreign correspondent for the Financial Times and exposed a multibillion-dollar corruption scandal in Nigeria. He eventually left journalism for chocolate, becoming co- owner of the historic chocolate company Prestat, but is still plotting his return to the true home of jollof rice. He’s also a beloved novelist and writer of The Gay Street Chronicles.

Tony is co-founder of F-At Digital, the Bath-based publisher of market leading cycling website, road.cc and its sister sites ebiketips and off. road.cc. He has worked in the cycling media for over 25 years, first in print but for most of the last 20 years in digital. Prior to founding F-At he spent 11 years at Future Publishing as an editor.
Tonight’s Award design was chosen via a competition for Bath Spa University students. The winner is LOUISE AUBREY – congrats!
Inspired by the new logo and the Royal Crescent, this year’s awards are cast in Bath Stone Jesmonite. The more sustainable alternative to concrete has been acid etched to replicate the imperfect stone texture of true Bath Stone. The new Creative Bath logo is included front and centre on the awards and has been filled with pigmented Jesmonite in the blue tone of the new colour palette. Each category and winner name was then laser etched onto the side of the awards which stands out against the bath stone colour as it burns through the material.

STEPH DODD
Steph Dodd is managing director of leading regional events, publishing and marketing company, MediaClash, having joined in 2016. It produces nearly 100 events a year, led by the Bath Life Awards, Bath Property Awards and equivalents in Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, plus EntreConf, other conferences and networking lunches. It publishes Bath Life and Bristol Life magazines. Steph has worked in media for over 15 years, starting her career at international publisher Future.

Greg Ingham co-founded and owns MediaClash with his wife Jane. He also founded and runs EntreConf and Creative Bath; has advised a diverse range of media, tech and legal companies; created the computer games charity GamesAid; and chaired the Theatre Royal Bath, starting its Creative Fund.
Greg was previously the chief exec of Future for an 18-year odyssey from a five-magazine independent start-up, to its sale to Pearson and contested MBO, to flotation as an international multiplatform media plc.
