huge and warm welcome to the Bath Life Awards 2025, which tonight celebrates three fantastic factors: not only are we gathered here to honour the successful shining lights of our city, but this year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Bath Life Awards! That’s an incredible two decades of proudly being a part of recognising and giving thanks to Bath’s remarkable businesses, wonderful organisations, inspiring entrepreneurs, and outstanding individuals.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, we are here at an impressive and stunning new venue, Bath Forum. What an extraordinary place to host this year’s event – we simply couldn’t think of better. Having been part of the Bath entertainment scene for an astonishing 91 years, the Forum has played host to the good, the great and the glorious over the years, and now to all of us! It really is the perfect setting for this wonderful night as we gather to applaud all the founders, leaders, innovators, and hardworking individuals who make Bath such a unique place to live, work, and play.

To all our returning guests, you’ll know that tonight is as much about cheering the finalists and winners as it is about reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and, of course, enjoying some top dining experiences from Strawberry Fields. And for our first time cohorts – take it all in and enjoy the ride! Whether you’re here as an award nominee, sponsor, judge, or a relaxed Plus One, you’re in for an unforgettable evening. There’s something magical about being surrounded by so many passionate, talented people who believe in and love this city.

ARRON WHAN, GENERAL MANAGER AT THE BELL INN Arron has been the general manager of The Bell Inn, which is renowned as the UK’s largest community owned pub and music venue, for the past 10+ years. Previously he has been manager at Bullingdon in Oxford as well as Embargo and Allied Domecq in the 1990s and 2000s, in a hospitality career that spans decades.

DEBBIE BOULTON, MANAGING DIRECTOR AT RICHARDSON SWIFT Debbie has over 25 years’ experience, mostly in the Bath market, and is valued for her straightforward approach, and loves to work with growing, aspirational businesses – particularly, on strategic planning and providing FD services to businesses.

Debbie became MD of Richardson Swift in January 2022.

JADE PARFITT, FOUNDER OF BATH FASHION FESTIVAL Jade started out as a model aged just 15 and went on to work for some of the biggest names in the business, including working with legendary magazines including Versace and Mulberry. She went on to become the lead presenter for Vogue. co.uk, covering major runway and fashion parties and interviewing celebrities at The Met Ball.

MARIANNE CARTWRIGHT-HIGNETT, OWNER OF IFORD MANOR Marianne co-owns and manages the Iford Manor Estate, comprising of Iford Manor Café & Kitchen, a Grade 1 registered garden, holiday cottage, a c.

She is also chair of the Historic Houses Business Development Committee.

In September 2024 he was appointed as the new chair of the Bath BID board.

It produces nearly 100 events a year, with annual business awards held in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, plus conferences and networking. It publishes Bristol Life and Bath Life magazines. Steph has worked in media for over 15 years, starting her career at international publisher Future. Greg Ingham co-founded and owns MediaClash with his wife Jane. MediaClash is media business established in 2006 which publishes the leading south west magazines, Bath Life and Bristol Life.

It produces nearly 100 events a year, led by the Bath Life Awards, Bath Property Awards and equivalents in Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, plus conferences and networking lunches. It also runs EntreConf, the region’s leading conference for entrepreneurs and also the EntreConf Awards. Additionally, MediaClash organises and promotes the muchloved Bath Boules on behalf of the Boules Trustees.
