Two teens charged with murder of Mikey Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of Mikey Roynon from Kingswood who was stabbed to death at a party in Bath. There has been an outpouring of grief in the 16-yearold’s home community and well-wishers have so raised more than £18,000 to support his family following the tragedy on Saturday 10th June. Eleven teenagers were arrested in connection with the killing, but nine were later released without charge.
A 35-year-old woman was also stabbed during the incident and attended the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment before being discharged. A major investigation was launched involving more than 100 officers and staff. Last Thursday police announced that a 15-year-old boy from Dorset and a 16-year-old boy from Wiltshire had been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. They are being held in youth custody and cannot be named for legal reasons. Detective Inspector Mark Newbury, the senior investigating officer, said that around 50 to 60 people, the majority of whom were children, who had been inside the property in Eastfield Avenue at the time of the incident “sadly witnessed things no one would want them to see”.
