TEXT ME: Young Curators
SPECIALS
TEXT ME is an exciting new program focused on curatorial writing and cross cultural communication. Emerging Young Curators selected by our international partners visit MAF from 1 - 10 October. Here they are introduced to artists, get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into our festival, meet our collaborators and attend lectures and co-working sessions. Drawing from their different cultural contexts and on-site research and exchange, each curator will produce a text that dialogues with the work of a MAF Young Masters artist. Keep an eye on our website to read the results, and join our networking events to meet the next generation of Young Curators: Alexia Alexandropoulou, Syrine Bettaleb, Jan Herman de Boer, Sara Mari Blom, Famkje Elgersma, Amin Gharbi, Giuliana Grippo, Kenza Jemmali, Emily Sarsam, and Irene Urrutia. Lectures and workshops by Bettina Pelz, Aymen Gharbi and Nicolás Dardano.

The i-Portunus Houses pilot scheme is implemented, on behalf of the European Commission, by a consortium of organisations that have been pioneers of European cultural mobility programmes themselves. Coordinated by the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam), the i-Portunus Houses consortium involves MitOst (Berlin) as main mobility implementer and the Kultura Nova Foundation (Zagreb) as lead in evaluation and analysis.
