LUMIA NORWEST, NSW Lumia holds a unique position within The Orchards precinct and Norwest. It has a strong connection to the natural surrounds whilst enjoying the emerging urban amenity offered by the Norwest city centre and the new Metro station which are in easy walking distance. But Lumia is not all about the urban context. Unlike other developments in the area, Lumia is surrounded with natural assets – large trees, a linear park and waterways. We embraced a symbiotic relationship with nature and established the design agenda to ensure that each resident would be able to experience these qualities as part of their everyday. Each apartment has been planned to take advantage of the district views and green outlooks with large format windows and oversized balconies. Our research into the future direction for urban living has been carefully integrated into each apartment type. Separation of active living and quiet sleeping zones, oversized kitchens, a variety of storage space, study alcoves and ‘flexi’ rooms. As the name implies, ‘flexi’ rooms can be adapted to meet individual needs with the capability of changing in use over time. The selection of light and textured finishes is driven by the natural qualities of the site. This level of design rigour is distilled right down to the detailing of joinery including the curved edges to stone benchtops. A key feature of Lumia is the outdoor pool and pavilion. This pavilion is appointed with a collection of communal and intimate dining and lounge areas that overlook the pool and linear park beyond.

ARGENT LINDFIELD, NSW The colour palette is light in colour with soft greys for the light scheme and soft green for the dark scheme. The design is targeted to a young demographic of families looking to buy a boutique home in the prized school catchment. The design is luxury focused yet minimal that would appeal to a young family but also references the Tilia or Lime trees of Lindfield. The change of light throughout the Australian seasons was a strong influence to our design. The interior design maximises the natural light through open space planning and clever design details allowing the changing light to be showcased.

GRAND REVE CASTLE HILL, NSW Castle Hill is a green Sydney suburb, the character is shaped by tree canopies and lush gardens. Adjacent to the project is the historic Garthowen House which, when built, was surrounded by orchards. Grand Réve has a broad range of apartment types to suit a wide demographic. There are small studios, 2-level maisonettes, terrace apartments with larger outdoor spaces and penthouse sky-residences. With the open plan layout, the living, kitchen and dining areas are generous and accented with 2.7m high ceilings, engineered stone benchtops, many with an island bar and an abundance of soothing natural light. Large double glass sliding doors simply and seamlessly extend the dining area to your private balcony or terrace courtyard. High-end quality finishes and clean lines adorn the Grand Reve apartment interiors with the kitchen boasting luxuriously appointed appliances and brass fixtures and drawer pulls add a touch of class.

ON HILLS CENTRAL ROUSE HILL, NSW The display suite for On Hills Central was a challenging retail space with a very convoluted plan. We began this project with a clean and fresh approach in terms of both the planning and design. The inspirations that led to the residential interior design also informed the display suite design. We took inspiration from the artwork of Meg Walters and translated it into the colour palette. An original painting hangs in the display apartment to show visitors our design inspiration and references to the Australian natural landscape. Our choice of materials echo materials used in the residential interior and exterior designs. Brick upon entry reference the architectural materials that transition to tiles of the same colour. The colour scheme is very soft and natural; lots of ochre and eucalypt green. These feature colours are used to colour block distinct zones of the display and transition the journey through the long narrow sales suite.

PLATINUM ON PEACH TREE MACQUARIE PARK, NSW Platinum on Peach Tree display suite is situated within the busy Macquarie Park shopping centre and allowed the interior to act as a true retail space. The timeless luxury design of the residential interiors inspired the display suite design and material palette. The display suite has an array of displays, from the shopfront windows to the marketing TV’s and CGI’s. The window displays promote the lifestyle purchaser’s can expect from Platinum on Peach Tree, whilst revealing glimpses of the development and interiors. Stone, timber, and metal finishes are used with intricate detailing and lighting to accentuate important elements and help transition throughout the retail space. The soft, neutral colours bring a sense of nature into the retail experience.

TRUSLAN EXPERIENCE CENTRE CHATSWOOD, NSW The experience centre was designed to be fully flexible in its use and layout. The brief was to create a space that would allow for multiple property sales and marketing launches to be staged or happen simultaneously. The design of the experience centre was restricted in its look and feel but strong in its form and function to allow each property branding to be the focus. Two display apartment zones sit opposite each other in the centre and can each be closed off by curtains to allow for easy re-fit outs and project reveals. The open plan area between the display units are designed to have moveable display walls and curtains for individual branding and sales. Custom joinery, sales tables and material case goods are designed to be flexible. The large entry space allows for functions, marketing launches and large or small group discussions. A long planter bench in the function space conceals storage and mini-bars to become a catering bar. A dramatic ceiling hangs over the function space and digital panels on white walls allow for mood changing to suit the property branding. Ample office space is concealed within the planning to allow a staff of more than 20 to work within the experience centre. A large custom light box with a graphic ‘T’ for Truslan was placed at the street to attract attention on the busy retail arcade of the Chatswood shopping district.

EAST END NEWCASTLE, NSW East End represents a masterplan that will completely transform Newcastle from Perkins to Newcomen Streets across 4 distinct stages to be completed over several years. Turner Interiors has been appointed to provide Interior Architecture for Fabric House and Washignton House in Stage 1. Continuing the theme of marrying the classic with the modern, the interiors will feature such masonry materials as stone benchtops, alongside mirrored splashbacks, polished chrome fixtures, and beautiful timber floorboards. Turner Interiors was engaged to create the Display Suites in the heritage-listed former David Jones Building for the duration of the masterplan.
