2022, so far, has been a fulfilling and productive year for Wolverine Street Medicine. In this 2021 2022 Annual Report, we're excited to share with you the results of our efforts to innovate in outreach, education and street medicine. This year, as previewed in our highlights page, we've expanded our sexual and reproductive health offerings, refocused our efforts to support people who need gynecologic healthcare, and developed a strong protocol to test for HIV. As you'll read in this report we've also expanded our foot care and education offerings, developed new partnerships with residents and community organizations and received a grant from Verizon that promises to technologically revolutionize our charting on street runs. WSM remains committed to quality improvement; both in our monitoring and evaluation efforts and in our clinical care Our revamped training and elective course content, our newly designed Clinical Playbook and our ongoing Foot Care Needs Assessment underscore these commitments. We're delighted to share these efforts with you. Of course, none of the work that we do would be possible without your support. Thank you for your enthusiasm for WSM and your commitment to serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Hearts & Soles provides foot washing, foot care, and community; serving those who have been underserved by our traditional medical system and providing care that seeks to heal both hearts and soles.
Foot care is an undermet need in the community experiencing homelessness. Persons experiencing homelessness are often forgotten and left behind by traditional medical systems; so too are their feet. Not only do studies articulate a higher burden of foot conditions among people experiencing homelessness, but many unhoused individuals struggle with care navigation and self-advocacy when it comes to getting their foot concerns addressed.
Substance use disorder is a chronic disease impacting disproportionately those who are experiencing homelessness Each month, we utilize harm reduction principles by throwing a Narcan & Pizza Party, offering hygiene supplies, dental kits, and of course, pizza and Narcan! We have distributed over 100 units of Narcan to the local community in the hopes of decreasing the rate of overdoses.
We have continued with our twice weekly Street Runs reaching about 15 30 patients/week. We are excited to showcase our new blue van, which makes offering care to our unhoused patients even more accessible.
The WSM Clinical Playbook is a tool designed to support trainees and students on street runs in understanding common conditions encountered on runs and the appropriate (and possible) management therein. Clinical guides are prepared by students and illustrated by STAMPS partners. Rollout anticipated in Fall 2022.
This year we are excited to welcome a new member to our advisory committee while saying goodbye (for now) to one of our strongest advocates and supporters. WSM would like to thank Dr. Brent Williams for his years of tireless support and dedication to the community experiencing homelessness and to our students. We truly would not be the organization that we are without Dr. Williams. We are grateful to him for his patience, support, and enthusiasm; your guidance and mentorship will be missed, but the legacy of your contributions to WSM will always remain. Thank you.
We are delighted that Dr. Maben Feaster will be joining us and look forward to learning much from her expertise.
