Our company, Serafeim Zavvos S.A., which has been in the business of processing meat products since 1990, is on the top league. The company is situated in the Avlida region. It is an innovative and modern factory, which operates under the strictest European Union regulations (HACCP).

KEBAB

It is made into 5kg pieces, which can be divided and made by our customers into different shapes and of various weight. We have, also, kebab sticks of different quantity ranging from 80gr to 140gr which are included in boxes of 7kg and 15kg.

DONER It is produced and made into 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 and 20 kg containers. However, if asked by the customer, it is available in larger containers.

STUFFED BURGER

SEFTALIA It is produced following a traditional recipe, comes in containers of 7kg consisting of 100gr pieces and of 15kg containers consisting of 100g pieces.

This product is made of a 120 gr cheese stuffed burger which can be used as part of our traditional souvlaki and 250 gr stuffed burger with cheese and bacon which can be used in rich servings. This product comes into 7kg and 15 kg containers.

BEEF STICK This product is included in boxes of 7kg and 15kg.

rade visitors from industry, butchers, catering, hotels reached almost 6,100 people with many special guest presence outside Attica. Representatives of large and small businesses active in the Greek meat market, scientists and experts, representatives of foreign companies created on 29, September 30 and October 1st a new institution for the market -the Meat Days. Dozens of companies exhibited products and services, creating a highly specialized sectoral report, which was missing from our country. The meat industry has established a healthy forces that resist the highly complex economic conditions and can cope with ingenuity and innovation. The exhibitors were a remarkable example of both the primary productive acti-

vity, and manufacturing, while major part of the exhibition hall was covered by the equipment and services necessary for professional and industrial activities in the industry. The Sensory Evaluation of Meat products, as a special activity collected 200 samples of a serious manufacturing activity in our country. A large group of 49 “experts” judges from science, engineering and connoisseurs evaluated with pre-scientific criteria such products and created a new process of physical examination of the quality, nutritional, culinary items and traditional products of meat. The evaluation process yielded a total of 97 quality awards, of which 26 gold, 35 silver and 36 bronze. This assessment is a major innovation for the Greek manufacturing industry and

organized by the collective bodies of these enterprises (SEVEK & SPAKVE). A serious scientific fact proved to be the National Conference and Meat Products, which was held concurrently with the exhibition and attracted more than 80 special presentations. The Conference created a remarkable volume practices, useful for any scientist and specialist in the field of producing, processing, handling, control meat and various products. Apart from the considerable knowledge that aired these three days of the Conference, the Conference itself gave the opportunity to put into the discussion (it was held in roundtables) important aspects of the whole cycle of activity. The debate on primary production, with participation of representatives of farming, trade, and insti-

tutions of the state had a great interest, talked about the real problems, and tried to crawl outlets of lean production activity in our country. Finally, the Meat Festival which was held in Saturday and Sunday evening gave a special touch to Meat Days. Exhibitors and visitors had the opportunity to taste sponsors and exhibitors’ s products, had the chance to relax, have fun, but also partnering in a specially designed area. The meetings held within the Days of Meat demonstrated the need for such an exhibition activity and all professionals evaluating possibilities, prospects, and possible weaknesses renew their appointment for Meat Days 2013, to be held next September 28-30th in same space.
