Void means an empty space so I decided to take a picture of my violin against this black wall to show the negative space around the violin. As well as the positive space the violin takes up and the contrast in the colours.
I designed a fitted evening gown with a halter neckline, a curved blue detail across the body and a flowing mermaid skirt. I paired it with the prompt STITCHES because the dress would require stitching to join the fabric and create its shape and flowingness. I used monochromatic colour theory by incorporating different shades of blue to create a coordinated look.
I paired WHISPER with the cybersecurity comic strip because whispers and gossip can spread online when people share private information without permission. The comic shows the importance of respecting others' privacy and being responsible online.

My Recreation
I chose MIRROR for this task because I wanted to recreate a magazine advertisement using repetition and reflection. I used matching milkshakes and repeated text to create a mirrored effect, and I used blue because it is my favourite colour. (AI usage: I described my idea of a blue advertisement using repetition and reflection, and ChatGPT generated the recreated advertisement based on my instructions.)
I chose to design a business card for the Wind & String Ensemble because I currently serve as president. I paired it with the prompt CROWN because the crown symbolises the leadership role I play. For the logo, I chose a violin and saxophone as they are the most dominant instruments in the ensemble.
I chose Mufasa from The Lion King because I remembered the iconic scene of Simba being held up over the Pride Lands. I also remembered seeing a scene with the lions under the
moonlight, which made me think it would be a perfect fit for the prompt (MOONLIGHT). I liked how the lighting made the characters stand out.
I chose DECAY because I wanted to show how old buildings and structures change over time while still being part of Jamaica’s history. I included the ruins, cracked textures and earthy colours to represent decay, while the flag, hibiscus and scenery highlight Jamaican culture.
AI usage: I used ChatGPT to generate the logo and mood board based on my chosen country, theme and design ideas.
