Named Saudi’s national dessert in January 2023, these buckwheat pan bites called Maqshush are sweet balls of dough, infused with a kick of cardamom and are baked, after four hours of resting. Topped with ghee, honey, date molasses or sugar they are popular during winters and are served for breakfast and during Ramadan.

❖ Reflection and Gratitude: It's a time for personal reflection, repentance, and expressing gratitude for blessings received in the past year.
❖ Community Gatherings: Families and communities come together for communal meals and gatherings, fostering bonds of unity and sharing goodwill.
❖ Acts of Charity: Muslims are encouraged to engage in acts of charity (Sadaqah) and kindness towards others, reflecting the spirit of generosity and compassion.
