MISSION Beat The Best
VISION To be the most efficient, customer-centric and profitable distributor in the Caribbean region
CORE VALUES
WHO WE ARE MDS LIMITED MDS Ltd is an island-wide distributor of healthcare and consumer products, with a catalogue that spans pharmaceuticals, vaccines, injectables, hospital supplies, medical disposable items, medical sundries, consumer products and beauty items.
Behind every successful business is someone who once made a courageous decision. MDS Ltd, now a publicly traded Company (since Dec 2013) is comprised of more than 65 employees and operates from over 30,000 sq ft of facilities on Hagley Park Road. Considering the achievements to date and growing catalogue of products, it is hard to believe that this operation began with brand representation from only two suppliers of medical disposable items and as a one-woman operation through its Founder and Managing Director, Mrs. Myrtis Boothe.
Since inception, MDS has developed into a trusted Distribution Company with a product range that has expanded to include the areas of pharmaceuticals and consumer goods. This expansion has been accompanied by a healthy dose of codistributor partnerships and subdistributorship agreements. 2019 COMPANY SILHOUETTE

DID YOU KNOW?
In the early years, MDS diversified its portfolio outside the realm of healthcare by adding general consumer products to its range. In the true spirit of “Business Unusual”, a strategy of providing subdistributorship agreements was crafted, via alliances with local distributors. These alignments included Johnson & Johnson, Consumer Brands, Cari-Med and Kirk Distributors. The company later shifted its strategic direction to move towards building out its own Consumer Division via direct distributorship relationships.
The genesis of MDS was born out of a passion to assist persons needing to make their lives healthier and happier. Our reason for being is not mainly guided by financial reward, but also to make a healthy difference in the lives of those we serve. Our confidence in this purpose-led business rests in the knowledge “that He who has begun a good work …will carry it on to completion.”
LOOKING AHEAD On our mission to beat the best, we continue to strive for superior service delivery (viewing the customer as the boss). At the pinnacle of our strategies is the focus given to our Principals, to foster close partnerships that return mutually beneficial rewards. We remain committed to making technological advancements, applying data driven analytics and focusing on adapting to constant changes in the external environment.
MDS is dedicated to divisional focus that will increase our Pharmaceutical market share, as well as grow our Medical services and product offerings to contribute to improving Jamaica’s healthcare standards. We will embark on fully building out our Consumer Division to significantly increase touch points islandwide and deepen distribution channels across this segment.
