Passenger Loading Zone Overview Convert designated commercial loading zones to Passenger Loading Zones from 6 PM to 7 AM Daily to encourage safe passenger pick up and drop o locations by ride sharing companies, taxis and individuals.

Passenger Loading Zone Locations The recommended locations designated during the pilot program will be located where the demand for passenger loading and unloading has been observed to be high. Currently, commercial loading zones are enforced from 7 am to 6 PM, unless otherwise posted, as established by the California Vehicle Code. The use of commercial loading zones from 6 pm to 7 am daily, as recommended for this pilot program, will not significantly impact the available on-street parking for the public or commercial delivery needs. The parking time limit for the proposed These locations have been identified due to their proximity to businesses where a frequent presence of ridesharing companies and taxis has been observed. Most of the businesses where these loading zones are located close at 6:00 PM and will not be impacted by the pilot.
