Residents and business owners in Minnedosa can expect some changes to their waste collection services following the Town of Minnedosa’s new contract with MWM Environmental. The shift, announced earlier this spring, affects both pickup logistics and bill-
ing practices across the municipality. MWM is expected to take over from the Town of Minnedosa and begin services on approximately July 1. According to Chief Administrative Officer Danniele Carriere, properties will be categorized for service based on zoning and assessment.
“Single and multi-unit properties are classified as residential,” she explained, “while business properties are determined by assessment classification and zoning, and reviewed by administration.”

though pickup days may shift. MWM will be distributing new trash carts for household waste, but recycling practices – including bagging and collection – will remain the same for now.
